This is a compliment to the previous chapter!...
Enjoy!
I swear I hate strangers, but this stranger really got me compelled. I shall not say anything to my brother because he will kill me.
We head to this coffee shop in the same road and sit there talking like old friends. I didn't even care about the age difference she was the coolest middle aged woman I have ever met. Not that I have met many of them, and most intriguing she is not a muslim but she understands very well about the religion.
"Where you a muslim before?" I ask intrigued.
"No." She says under a chuckle. "But I have some muslim friends, I like doing researches."
"Nice, you have an open mind." I say amused.
"Haven't you ever thought about converting?"
"I don't know." She says playfully. "A couple more of muslim friends and I might not resist." She says and we giggle.
"Well. If you do I really want to witness and welcome you into faith." I say grinning.
"Very tempting, young lady." She says gesturing. "Well, how do you like it here?"
"Very nice so far. I got to make a friend, her name is Ilhaam. A very awkward one." I say and she nods as I speak. I remove the phone from my purse. "We know each other for a short time, but I feel that we are soul sisters."
"It's good having a friend that a treasure beyond compare." She says and I search for a picture of us together.
"This is her." I say showing her the picture of me and Ilhaam together.
"Two pretty ladies." She comments.
"She also studies law and we have a blog together." I know I'm giving too much info to a stranger, but she just makes me feel so free. I take my phone back and see that there are twenty missed calls from Fahmy. "My brother called and the phone was in silence. Omg, he's so killing me." I say and she just observes me smiling.
"I will just make a call, excuse me." I say and stand up going to the WC to talk to fahmy.
"Where are you?" I can sense that his pissed.
"Assalam Alleikum." I say in a soft voice.
"It's already 6pm, why aren't you home?" He demands.
"I'm having a coffee and a delicious cheese cake with a friend." I say and pull a face as I was expecting him to scream at me.
"What friend?" he asks. "Because I'm sure that Ilhaam is working today."
"A friend!" I exclaim. "Her name is Leila, it's a female no need to freak out."
"Ilhaam I want you home in the next thirty minutes."
"It won't be quite possible because I sent the chauffer home. I was supposed to call him-"
"-Where are you? I will come to get you." He says.
"Ok, it's a café near the national library. It's called Café Boutique."
"I'm coming, don't move from there." He says and hangs up. I bet he wasn't even home but was so worried about me not being home.
I go back to my sit and find Leila there distracted looking outside the window. "I'm back." I say and she turns to me frowning.
"any problem?" she asks.
"Nope, just an overprotective brother. I really lost track of time." I say and she chuckles.
