It had been seven years since Tyrone had been put in prison, five years since Aiden and myself had gotten married, and two years since I'd had a baby with Aiden.

Chloe, our daughter ran into our bedroom and struggled to climb up onto the bed. Drew ran in after her, his hair messy as he'd just woken up, Chloe most likely having jumped him awake too.

"Chloe! I told you not to wake mommy and daddy up." He whined, his arms wrapping around Chloe's small waist. She giggled, poking his cheek as he set her down on the floor.

Drew had known for a few months that Aiden wasn't his birth father, but still insisted on calling him dad; surprisingly, he'd taken it well. We hadn't told him the reason, only that Tyrone had done something very bad. We didn't want him to know just yet.

I looked up at Aiden with a small yawn as he sat up and reached down for Chloe and sat her on his lap, Drew running around and climbing up onto my side of the bed.

"Are you guys excited to open your presents from Santa?" Aiden asked and Chloe squealed in delight.

"Santa!" She giggled, clapping her hands as she looked up at Aiden. "Daddy! Leggo!" She said, a little too loudly.

They were both intelligent children, both of their speech had developed quite quickly. I ran my hand over the back of Drew's head as he looked up at me with a smile.

"Can I take Chloe down stairs to wait for you?" He asked, standing up on the bed and hugged me, wrapping his arms over my shoulders.

"Yeah, but no peaking at the presents. Promise?" I told him and held out my pinkie finger, which he wrapped his around.

"Promise." He said, quickly kissing my cheek and scrambling down off the bed, moving to get Chloe and walking her down the stairs into the living room.

I looked after them as they left, a seemingly permanent smile on my face. Of course, Drew had blonde hair from both myself and Tyrone, and light blue eyes with hints of green. Chloe had light brown hair, still short and curly and crystal blue eyes. They were both beautiful.

I leaned up and pecked Aiden on the lips.

"Merry Christmas." I whispered with a smile, which he returned, leaning back in for another kiss.

Thank you guys so much for reading this story and putting up with the long waits for updates. I really hope you enjoyed this story and are looking forward to reading the sequel. I still don't have a definite title for it, but the main characters are going to be Drew and a girl called Katie. You'll learn more about both Drew and Katie as the sequel goes on, but I really hope you'll like them both. c:
