I'm lying on my bed, watching Netflix while my parents are out for a dinner date, when my phone dings from my desk. I pause the T.V and pull myself up to check my phone.

Zach: Hey baby, can u meet outside in 15?

Y/N: sure. y?

Zach: u'll see. wear cute casual

Y/N: ok...

I smile at my phone, plug it in and walk over to my closet. I open the closet doors and look for something to wear. I groan.

"I have nothing to wear!" I complain to myself. I roll my eyes and start going through my clothes, pulling things out and then throwing them out onto the floor.

Eventually I decide on a pair of ripped jeans, a white shirt and a red and black flannel shirt turned around my waist. I quickly throw my hair into a messy bun and tie up my Converses. There's a knock on the front door, and I run down the stairs to answer it.

I fling the door open and see Zach standing there, with a huge smile on his face. He's wearing black jeans, an over sized black shirt, wearing his checkered vans, and his silver chain around his neck.

"Hey beautiful. You look great." he tells me, pulling me in for a hug. I smile.

"Hey Zach. So are you gonna tell me whats going on?" I ask him. he grins and shakes his head.

"Nope. Come on, you'll find out when we get there." he leads me to his car, and opens my door for me. "Hey Y/N, whats your curfew again?"

"11." I say, buckling up. "Why?"

"No reason. Just making sure I'll have you home in time." he says, pulling away from the curb. "Are your parents out tonight?"

I nod. "They went out for dinner. They'll probably be home around midnight."

"Okay. So how was your day?" Zach asks casually. I look at him side on.

"It was fine. How was yours?" I ask in reply.

"Pretty boring. That's why I'm taking you out." I raise my eyebrows.

"So the reason you're taking your girlfriend out on a date is because you're bored?" I say in disbelief. Zach shakes his head quickly.

"No, of course not! You just make my day much better, and we haven't gone out for a while, so I thought we should." he explains. I nod.

"Okay I guess that's fine then." I say. I lean my head back on the headrest. "Are we nearly there?"

Zach smiles. "Yes. A few more minutes."

"Alright." I lean forward to turn up the radio, and until Zach and  I sing along. Then I start smelling something familiar. "Are we going to the beach?"

"How did you guess?" he whines. I laugh.

"Zach, I can literally smell the beach. Can't you?" I tell him.

"Okay, good point." he admits, pulling up and parking. He gets out and comes around to open my door.

"Thanks." I say, stepping out and stretching. I check my phone and see that it's only 8 o'clock. "So what are we doing?"

Zach smiles. "You'll see." he grabs my hand and pulls me down the wooden stairs to the beach. When we get down to the sand, we take off our shoes and start walking down the beach, watching the sunset.

'So will you tell me what we're doing?" I ask again. Zach smiles.

"Yes. I set up something for us before. The guys helped me." he says. I feel a smile spreading across my face.

"Aw Zach, really?" I say. he nods.

"I wanted to do something special for you, because you've been working so hard lately, and we haven't had much time together, so I thought we should do something special together." he explains.

We stop walking, and I see a picnic blanket surrounded by candles, with a basket filled with food. My jaw drops and I spin around to face Zach.

"Zach! Did you do this?" I ask. Zach smiles and nods. "You didn't have to!"

I hug him tightly, and then turn to look at the set up. Zach grabs my hand again and we sit down. He pulls some of the food out and we eat a bit, take a few pictures, but mostly cuddle and talk.

Eventually, we have to blow out the candles and pack the blankets and food up to take back to the car. When we get to the car, Zach puts the basket in the car and we start to drive back to my house. He holds my hand the whole time, driving with one hand. I smile the entire drive.

When we get back to my house, it's nearly 11. Zach walks me up to the front door, and gives me quick kiss.

"Thank you so much for tonight." I whisper, giving him another hug.

"Its okay. You deserve it." he kisses my forehead. "Goodnight Y/N."

He waves as I unlock the front door and step inside. I smile to myself, because I know how lucky I am.

Hi! Sorry for not uploading in a few days, but I had a bit of a writer's block for everything, and I've been pretty busy. This was a bit of a longer one, to make up for not uploading. Hope you like it!
