I wish I could say I'm still at home, watching a movie with Connor. Wrapped up in a blanket and stuffing my self with pop corn, but unfortunately, I'm not. I'm currently stuck in school, bored out of my freaking mind and that seems to be happening quite a lot nowadays.I slam my locker with a groan and a chuckle sounds from behind me. I turn and my eyes slightly widen in shock. Not someone I was expecting.
"H-hey... Jordan." I mumble slightly fidgeting."Hey Lily. How are you doing?" He asks and I nod my head,"Good.Just great, how 'bout you?" I ask and he smiles at me. "I'm doing good, I guess." I smile weakly at him and shift my weight to my left leg. "So..." I trail off and he scratches his neck. Isn't it too early for this? It's like he's walking me to my door after our first date.
"Yeah... Uhm, look Lily, we really need to talk." He finally states and my eyes snap to his. I'm once more lost in the beautiful sea he calls his eyes, they make me fall in love with the ocean more than I already am. I nod my head in agreement, "Yeah, you're right. We really need to talk, but right now is not the time, how about later?" I ask hiking my backpack further up my shoulder. "Yeah sure, that would be great." I smile at him and turn to make my way to class, "Wait, Lily!" He calls out and I turn to face him with a confused expression.
"We didn't exactly say where we'll meet up." He chuckles and a blush covers my cheeks, "Oh yeah, uhm, how about the cafe I went to together with the guys yesterday?" I ask tucking some strands of my hair behind my ear. He nods his head, a dazzling smile on his lips, "Ok then. A date it is." He says before swiftly turning and strutting away, leaving me a blushing mess.
Briing!
Great. Just great. I freaking hate you Jordan Smith!
You do know that's a lie right?
Fudge you! I never asked for your input.
You didn't have to.
Why oh why do I have you as my subconscious?
I'm still wondering the exact same thing as well, you're not alone on the matter dear. Don't fret about it. Now if you would do me the favor of taking your tiny butt to class so I can at least get something into this tiny brain of yours, I would appreciate that tremendously.
Whatever.
I make my way to my geometry class, cursing Connor under my breath. I was lucky enough to be able to finish the homework during lunch whilst thanking the heavens that the class was after lunch or else someone would have been castrated today.
***Time Skip***
Fudge face: Sorey something cao w up buy I'll be theree in a fewew
Translation: Sorry something came up but I'll be there in a few.
That message was sent 30 minutes ago. At first I was confused by the grammar errors but paid no mind to them, at least I got what he meant. I had ordered the chocolate deluxe again and was lost in chocolate heaven once more. After 30 minutes, Jordan is still not here and my mood is not so chocolaty any more. I've come to the conclusion that there's nothing I hate more than being stood up. Especially by someone who's still trying to get on my good side.
I check my phone again, sighing when I see the time, 35 minutes and he's not here. Why did I even bother? "You don't seem quite happy." I look up to see the cute waiter I saw when I first came here. His lips twitch as he suppresses a smirk. "Am I that obvious?" He rolls his eyes and chuckles, "Of course you are. You have a chocolate smoothie or whatnot in front of you and you're frowning." He states in duh tone. I chuckle and shift the empty glass along the table. "Well what am I to do when I'm being stood up?" I mumble and glance up at him to see his lips tug down in a frown.
"Well that's one stupid guy to leave a beauty all alone." My cheeks flare in a blush and I duck my head to at least try and hide it. "Look, I know you don't know me that well but I'm getting off in a few minutes, if you would like we can hang out?" I look at him with slightly widened eyes. His eyes are clouded with uncertainty and he's biting his bottom lip. I smile up at him, "Are you sure? I mean just because someone stood me up doesn't mean you have to stop all your plans so you can accompany me, I'll just head home and chill there." He shakes his head, "Yep, I'm sure. I was going to ask you to hang out with me sooner or later and today happened to be the day." He confessed with a sheepish smile.
I bite my lip to repress the stupid grin and nod my head, "Sure, cool then. I'll be waiting here." I assure him and he beams at me before jumping up and scratching his neck. "Ok then, let me go... Let me go and finish up." He scurries away, glancing back at me every second as if not believing what just happened. Hell, I don't believe what just happened. I just got asked out by a cute guy, a guy I'm sure is not associated with people like me to begin with.
"I'm so sorry I'm late it was a mistake!" I jump in fright and look up to see a frantic looking Jordan as he plops down on the seat in front of me. I suppress a scowl and nod my head, he looks bad. His hair is ruffled, his shirt is wrinkled and the huge red hickey on his neck is a tell-tale of what 'the emergency' was. I cannot believe this dude.
"Something really important came up and I had to attend to it, sorry for keeping you waiting though." He smiles at me. "I can tell the emergency was really bad. The bruise on your neck says it all." I nod my head at him and his eyes widen before a hand comes up to his neck to hide the hickey. Guilt washes over his features and I just smile at him, my heart constricting in my chest. "We were here to talk, now let's talk." I state and his face falls. He nods his eyes swarmed with indecipherable emotions.
"What I want to say is I'm sorry. I acted as an asshole at the party and I regret that. What I did was not great at all and I totally understand why you're mad at me. I shouldn't have kissed you without your permission and I shouldn't have threatened Connor, he is after all your best friend." He says and I nod.
"Truth be told, I forgave you a long time ago. And again I'm telling you, I forgive you. I don't want us to be enemies because your friends are also my friends now." I smile and hold out my palm, "Friends?" He looks at my hand wearily before clasping them together. "Friends, but remember one thing Lily; I don't regret kissing you and I'd do it again in a heart beat if I could." He lets my hand go and a chill goes down my spine.
He stands up and leans closer to my ear, "I promise." He whispers before placing a kiss below my ear, his breath leaving goosebumps at it's wake. He turns and struts away in that graceful way only he manages to master. "Hey, you ready?" I'm interrupted from my stuopo by the cute waiter -which apparently I don't know his name. I nod still in a daze and stand up, "Let's go then." He grins and walks ahead as I follow.
What the hell is Jordan Smith doing to my poor little heart?
