The next morning I was asked by one of the soldiers to come to a briefing for what the medics found out about the teen, and what could be happening to them. The tent was full of soldiers and their animals, the Captain and the lead medic was standing in front of the sea of soldiers and animals tying to quite everyone down.

"I'm sure you all want to know what's happening and it not and easy to explain," said the lead medic once everyone was quite. "The most simplest way to explain it is, it's a disease."

Saying this caused a whole fury of chaos to erupt in the tent, soldiers asking question about how this could be possible, and could it affect them that have already summoned their animals.

"QUITE!" Shouted the Captain, and everyone instantly quieted down to let the medic continue speaking

"As I said its like a disease, but we don't know enough about to see how it spreads and if it will spread to people that have already summoned animals , but me and a few of my team with some guards as escorts are going to head back to the Royal city to do more research."

"So I will be assigning a group to help travel back while the rest continue with our original mission." The Captain said taking over from the medic. " I will call everyone that's going later tonight."

Once the Captain dismissed everyone, the soldiers started filing out of the tent, I stayed back. When the majority of the soldiers had left I walked up to the Captain.

"Excuse me sir," I said. The Captain he looked over at me, giving me a look to continue, "I was wondering why I was asked to come to this."

"You must be Leo, I sent for you because I want you to help the medics return to the Royal city." He said this so nonmerchant that it completely shocked me. " I looked into some of the old files of this town and noticed that you are impeccably intelligent, and I think you can help. You will be leaving tomorrow morning with the rest of the group, meet at the town square at first light."

"Yes sir," it was all I could say. As I left the tent Kisha came flying up landing on my shoulder. "Kisha do you think everything will be fine?" her only response was to rub her feathery soft head lightly against my cheek, I huffed "I hope your right girl."

Arriving at my house, I started packing a bag, ready for tomorrow.

"What are you doing?" I jumped and turned to see Dylan standing at the door with Lahell next to him.

"How did you know where I lived?" an angered look coming over my face, "did you follow me here?"

"No, maybe...Yes, but I want to know why you're backing a bag, to leave." Still angry with him I decided not to answer him. "Seriously silent treatment, all I wanted to do is talk to you."

"Fine, your captain asked me to help escort the medics back tomorrow, and you shouldn't follow people to their homes, it's a huge invasion of privacy." I said in slight annoyance.

"Why would he do that?" he asked and that makes my anger start to rise again, looking at Dylan he instantly retracted his statement, "that's not what I meant by that, sorry."

"To answer your question, I don't know why he wants me to go all he said was that I could help them, with whatever is going on." I said in reply to his question, while I finished packing my things for the long trip tomorrow morning and put the bag by the door. "So is that all you wanted to talk about?"

"No, no, no. I-I wanted to talk about other things as well, to see how you are after yesterday?" he said that more like a question than a statement but I took as enough to let him stay. Once I put my bag beside the front door I sat on my bed, and indicated for Dylan to sit in the spare chair near the tiny nearly rotten through wooden table. We stayed silent for several minutes, but it wasn't one of those awkward silences that you feel like you have to fill it with uncomfortable small talk, Lahell just laid down beside Dylan while Kisha was sitting on the branch that had grown through one of the walls of the run down cabin.
"So will this be your first time leaving this place?" I asked.
"Yes. I have never really thought of leaving but, I am excited to go somewhere new and explore places outside of here." He replied sitting down in the small bed. "What about you? Have you traveled to many places?"
"Well I've been to a few places, but I just really finished my training so I'm kind of new at travelling to places and staying for long periods of time."
"Hmmm... Interesting" he hummed. We continued this back and forth chatter between us until I realised how late it had gotten.
"I should be heading a big day ahead is tomorrow." I said standing up from my seat.
"Yeah, I should try to get some sleep" he said nervously.
"Don't worry everything will be okay." I said trying to giving him some confidence, he just gave my a sweet smile and waved as I left his house and walked out into the night.
