Chapter 8 Dylan

Standing with my sword drawn and Lahell at the ready next to me and several other guards that I was travelling with, Leo also standing beside me with a short dagger (that Jordan had given him). We were surrounded by an enemy that outnumber us.

We're in some deep shit now! I thought as I tried to count how many they outnumber us by, but there seemed to be more that I couldn't even see.

"Ok I think you know your outnumbered so do the smart choice and give us your valuables." Said who I think is the leader.

I saw Jordan walk out of his tent with his sword drawn and turned to the bandits, "sorry but that's not going to happen tonight boys."

Jordan seemed to have a aura around him all the bandits seemed to change from people happy about getting money to fearing  about what could happen next.

"Maybe you should make the smart choice and leave now."

Now once again travelling down the dirt road again, I yawned, after last night I got little sleep, and from the corner of my eye I saw Leo also yawning, Lahell was walking sluggishly behind me.
We're now about a days walk away from the capital, and hopefully when we get there we can figure out what happened to those teens with their spirit animals.

"Tired Dylan?" Leo said behind me.

"Hmmm? No... well yes but I was just thinking." I replied. Leo nodded.

"Yeah I'm worried about what's going to happen with the teens..." Leo trailed off looking behind him at the carriage carrying the sick teens.

"Don't worry everything should be fine once we get into the city" I said, trying to calm him.

"Yeah your right there's no point in fretting if we don't even know." He said while taking a calming breath. I smiled.

What's with this boy and how cute he is? Wait what the hell am I even thinking. Shaking my head to clear my thoughts I hear one of the guards call out to us:
"HURRY UP! Or your going to be left behind!"

Me and Leo rushes to catch up to the rest of the party, and continued our way to the Royal city.
