I scrunched my eyes as the first rays of light flittered in the room I tried to turn away hiding from the sun and go back to sleep, but I knew that wouldn't happen. Yawning and stretching I got out of the bed and looked over at the sleeping Dylan in the next bed and smiled.
Slipping out of the bed I looked out the window, and the rising sun lighting up the night sky over the city below. I felt butterflies in my stomach I was so excited for tonight, to have Dylan showing me around the city, but there was another feeling of nervousness...? I don't even know why, we were just going to look around the city.
"It's a beautiful sunrise, isn't it?" Dylan said in a quiet voice coming stand next to me.
"Yes it is" I finally diverted from the view and looked at Dylan just taking him in, his sandy blonde bed head sticking in all directions and his stunning grey eyes turned into molten silver in the sunlight. My eyes started to drift done to his sculpted che-
"Hey you alright" concern lacing his voice. Now only realising that I was staring, shaking away my previous thoughts.
"I'm fine just lost in thought, I never thought I would actually be in the Royal city and staying in the castle no less".
Dylan just nodded, smiling. "Ok this is pretty amazing, but we've got to get ready to see how the healers are going with those other teens".
Both of us walking away from the window to prepare for the day. 15 minutes later and I'm completely lost in this labyrinth of a castle as Dylan walk down the hallways like a complete expert. Soon enough me and Dylan come up to a large doorway that wasn't a well lit, like the rest of the castle I've seen so far. Looking through the doorway made chills run down my spine. There's something wrong here... Something unnatural.
Dylan noticed my hesitation at the door when I didn't immediately follow him in.
"What's wrong Leo?" He asked cocking his head to the side slightly.
"I-I don't k-know, I just have this r-really bad f-feeling about what's i-in there..." I stuttered nervously. I felt the soft white feathers of Kisha brushing the side of my face and the new weigh on my shoulder, and a calming feeling washed over me. I turned my head to look my spirit animal in the eyes I could tell she knew what I was feel and tried to help me in the way only she can.
"Thanks" I whispered softly to her, I got a soft chirp in response.
Looking towards Dylan, also help stop the shivers ruining down my spine with the confident look in his eyes, and I knew I would be safe with him by my side. I took a deep breath steeling myself ready to face the challenge that laid ahead.
