"Forget My Name"

{Chicago PD: S3 Ep8}

[Elena's POV]

"How well do you know this guy?" Jay asked Antonio as we walked towards one of his CI's,

"He's a solid dude, you'll see," Antonio answered, quiet enough for the guy we were talking towards wouldn't hear, "Dominic, meet Detective Jay Halstead and Elena Smoak," He said pointing to Jay and me, "They both work with me in Intelligence,"

"Thought you said this was gonna be just me and you, but, uh, I guess that's okay," Dominic said, shrugging off the fact Jay and I were here, "So, uh, how's Intelligence work this?"

"You bring us a tip, we sign you up as a reliable confidential informant, and you only work for Intelligence," Antonio explained simply.

Dominic shook his head, unhappy with what Antonio had said about his name being on paper, which was somewhat normal for someone at NSA, "Yeah, I can't be on paper"

"Well, if your name's not on paper then we can't get you paid as a CI," Jay countered but I could tell by the look on Dominic's face and the fact he works for the NSA, he ain't giving us this tip for the CI money, he's just a nice guy, a paranoid but nice guy.

"I'm not doing it for the money. I'm doing it for the greater good," Dominic said earning a small laugh from Antonio at the 'greater good part'.

"All right, I'm not in Vice anymore, I can make you a John Doe informant," Antonio offered,

"No, I can't do that either. Look, I've been promoted, okay, we got to play by NSA rules here, okay? This tip doesn't exist. This conversation never happened," Dominic replied,

"All right, well, what's the tip?"

Dominic held out a piece of folded paper to Antonio and explained what he knew, "Narcotics. I overheard a flagged call. Said they were moving heavyweight,"

"It's a phone number and a license plate, so how do you know the phone's dirty?" Jay questioned suspiciously after seeing what was on the paper.

"NSA listens to everything," I replied simply, "They record everything,"

"Yeah, but, come on. Narcotics chatter?"

"Certain phrases on the phone raise red flags. I analyze that data. If it's not terrorism, it's not federal, special ops can drop it down to you guys," Dominic explained, "That phone raised a red flag. I overheard the license plate. Follow that number. You'll be pulling down multiple kilos,"
