Emery's pov :
Mom is making me and johnnie go to California to live with my dad for a couple of weeks because we are always getting in her way of her new job as a lawyer, like she's gone all the time and we barely get to spend time with her , so how are we getting in her way, but anyways, I don't want to go to dads I haven't seen him in three years and she's just now telling us this like ugh!
Anne: emery lets go!
( emery comes downstairs with her suitcases)
Emery: mom, really I don't want to go
Anne: your going to besides, you might meet some new people there
Emery: California sounds boring!
Johnnie: oh come on emery, it won't be that bad
( they all get in the car)
Anne : besides your only gonna be there for a three weeks
Emery: I'll try to adapt
( Anne drives to the airport)
Anne: make sure you call me everyday even when I'm asleep
Emery: ok mom
Anne: be safe and don't talk to strangers
Emery: ok mom we get it
Anne: I just can't believe you two are going across the us
Johnnie: mom don't cry
Emery: we have a flight to get on
Anne: ok have fun and I love you

John: love you too
Anne: bye!
Emery and John: bye!
( they both get on their plane and Anne leaves)
Emery: I already miss home
John : me too so just relax because dad is gonna pick us up from the airport
( 8 hours later)
( night time in California)
( emery and John gets off the plane)
Emery: do you see dad because I forgot what he looks like
John: nope
( David walks up to them)
David : hey kiddos
John : dad?
David: yeah
Emery: we're not kids anymore
David: oh yeah I forgot
Emery: so where is your car ?
David: you mean your car?
Emery: my car?
David: yeah I drove yours to pick you guys up
