Blake shot out of bed, leaving me breathless, confused, and honestly...a little horny. I sat up, pulling up the duvet to cover my chest. Blake asked Josh for more details.

"We are holding our own well, no casualties so far, but you need to get ready in case you're needed, Sir," Josh said, his eyes darting everywhere but me. He knew Blake would kill him if he saw me naked.

"How many warriors are out there now?" Blake asked, getting changed.

"70 Sir. We have 30 more on their way, and another 50 that are here, waiting on your command. Everyone else is off duty today but they have been told and are now on call if needed," Josh listed off, already prepared for these questions.

"Good.100 plus us should be fine. I want the other 50 here guarding the castle. All the humans are to get inside now, and then I want no one out, no one in. I want 2 warriors to guard Amelia and stay with her until I'm back." Blake sounded like a war general, directing orders.

"Yes Sir. I'll get that sorted right now. Be back in 5." Josh walked out the room, already on his phone repeating the orders to whoever he was talking to.

"The guards for me really aren't necessary. I promise I'll stay here this time," I said, referring to when he locked me in his office and I picked the lock. I let the duvet pool around me and grabbed my dressing gown, tying it around me, making me a bit more decent, before getting out of bed.

Blake came out the closet wearing army type trousers and boots, but nothing on his chest, leaving me a lovely view of his abs. There were a couple of straps going across his chest though, holding a gun and various daggers and stakes. He looked impressively tough and muscular, very powerful.

"Sorry, Ams, it's not safe, and I'm not risking you being hurt. You can wander inside the castle as you please, but you WILL have the guards on you at all times. This isn't up for discussion, Amelia."

I nodded, compliantly. I still didn't think it was necessary, but he needed to go and I didn't want to risk him being hurt because he was too busy worrying about me. "Please stay safe."

"I will. Don't worry about me," he smirked, gesturing towards his muscles as if saying he was too strong to get hurt. It was probably true, I thought, rolling my eyes, but it wouldn't stop me worrying. He pulled me towards him and I hugged him.

There was a knock on the door but Josh didn't wait before walking in, followed by two warriors who bow their heads to Blake as he lets me go, taking a step back.

Blake nodded to the men, and then introduced the who large men. "Amelia, this is Harry and Robert," he said, before turning to them and staring them down. "Warriors, you will protect her with your life. Nothing is more important. I trust that will not be a problem for you?"

"'Course not, Boss! I have to ask though, is she your—" Harry got cut off by an elbow to the ribs by Robert.

"You can rely on us, Your Majesty," Robert said, bowing, and then glaring at Harry.

"Don't let me regret that," Blake threatened. "Josh, lets move out."

Both men heading in the direction of the door, leaving me alone with the two scary-looking guards. "So... walk and talk, my good friend!" Josh said as they walked out. "She slept in your bed? Did you guys fuck? Did you—"

"Say one more word and I will cut out your tongue." Blake threatened as the door closed behind them, leaving me with the guards who were now trying to hold back a laugh. I giggled, embarrassed about the situation Josh had interrupted.

The guards had suggested that I go back to bed, and that they would wait outside the room until morning, but after my third nightmare I gave up trying to sleep. I blamed the bad dreams on not having Blake hold me whilst I slept, as cheesy as it was.
