Whoever invented alarm clocks deserved to burn in hell. Levi's phone had barely finished the first ring of his alarm to go to psychology II before the raven slammed his finger against the off button, trying to silence the wretched noise. Unlike most people, Levi was immaculately good at waking up for the first alarm. It was mainly due to the fact he hated the sound his alarm made. When he checked the time, he groaned as he stood up. This was one of his least favorite classes, but he was required to have two credits of it. He slipped his black slip on vans he wore everyday before making his way out of the dorm to head to the building. As he stepped outside, he noticed the weather was definitely chillier than it had been a week ago. He was going to have to start wearing more than just a black jean jacket.
He listened to some of Lil Peep's older music on the way to the education building, the breeze already making him colder than he expected today. He kind of wish he'd slipped on a hoodie underneath the jean jacket. He took the steps two at a time, a miracle he could do so at his height to some. Levi walked into the lecture room and took a seat at the top of the rows. After he had gotten his stuff out and ready in front of him, the classroom was still mostly empty, so he leaned against the wall behind him and shut his eyes. Resting isn't illegal, sue him. He didn't get to rest long before a feminine voice floated through the room. Well, feminine for a guy. And was that Eren's voice?
"And she was all like, 'Oh, just stay away from him! He's evil! He will break your heart!' Like dude, I'm not going to like your brother or something, he hates me so it's not like we're ever going to speak." Eren's quiet chuckle filled the room as he slid into a seat towards the front of the room. Levi kept his eyes closed, listening to their conversation. He already knew they were talking about him; he wouldn't be the first person Mikasa described him to like that. Suddenly, Eren's chuckle cut off, a nervous intake of breath coming from their direction.
"Eren! Shut up, he's right there! What if he wakes up?! Oh god, I got to get out of here-" The chair legs scraped against the floor before there was a thud. Eren must've dragged him back down. Levi wanted to laugh; poor kid was scared of him that bad? He must've done better than he thought at coming off 'not to be messed with'. He shushed him quietly, the room getting quiet.
Eren just sighed, some more shuffling around. "Who cares at this point, he's just an asshole. Besides, this is my fucking class too. We need to be here so he can suck it up." At this, Levi opened his eyes and looked down at them. Eren had turned towards the front with his arms crossed like a pouting child, while Armin looked at Levi, his face tomato red.
Breathe, Levi. Don't hit him again.
Levi just sat up a bit more since more students were coming inside now. As the room became full, it got hotter too. At least the raven was not cold anymore, even if it was filled with disgusting people. The teacher walked in, grumpy as always, and arms filled with books. His attitude could almost rival Levi's somedays. He dropped the stack of papers on his desk, grabbing a remote to turn the projector on. After clearing his throat, he looked up finally. His pale eyes matched his greying hair and pale skin.
"Alright class, we will be grading those exams you guys took last week. You will be paired up with another student, so I want you all to grade the others, then go over the incorrect answers. This is meant to help you learn why it was you got it wrong instead of me just marking it off and handing it back to be forgotten. Whoever you get is who you get, so don't try to switch." He gravelly voice was not frail as it filtered through the room. He was still strong-willed; most likely a veteran from a long time ago. He grabbed the stack again and cleared his throat once more.
