"Fia," A soft voice whispered to me while I was gently being shook. "Love, wake up."
I let out a muffled groan as I stirred in my sleep.
A hand pushed some hair out of my face, the touch gentle and lingering. "Baby. Up and at 'em."
I squinted one eye open, the room still dark with no light but the moonlight that was coming through the window. Wes was bent down on the ground in front of me, his hand running through my hair.
"What are you doing?" I croaked out, my voice horse and raspy. I smiled softly, seeing his eyes light up when they met mine. "It's the middle of the night. Why'd you get up?"
Wes only grinned at me, raising his eyebrows. I could see the amusement dancing behind his pupils. "I have to show you something. Let's go."
"What?" I whined as I swung my legs over the side of my bed and sat up, rubbing my eyes tiredly. "What time is it? Why aren't you cuddling me?"
Wes chuckled softly as he tossed me my shirt that was left lying on the ground. "It's three am, I think. Come with me, questions later."
I blew our raspberries like a whiny little child as I reached over to grab my sweatpants, quickly sliding them on. "I am sore." I grumbled as Wes took my hand and started pulling me out of my bed. "And for the record, Michelle won't always be so eager to stay at Chris's all the time. I'm surprised she's been giving us so much space lately."
Wes sighed dramatically, not seeming too bothered by my voiced concerns. "We'll find a place then."
"What?" I pulled him back to stop walking down the hallway, taken aback by the nonchalance behind his tone as he easily suggested we could find our own place to move into together.
Wes turned to face me, stepping closer and cupping my face. A small smile tugged on his lips, his eyes warm and filled with admiration as he peered at me. "I know we've only been dating a month but there's only a few months left of the semester. If you wanted to, of course, we could always find our own place."
I looked at him through squinted eyes, still in a deep haze of sleep. "You want to live with me? Don't you see enough of me as is?"
Wes chuckled softly, leaning down to kiss my lips softly. "I can't seem to get enough of you, sweetheart."
I bit the inside of my cheek, biting back a smile. My whole chest warmed up at the idea of living with Wes. "You'd really want to move into together?"
Wes rolled his eyes playfully in response. "Do you really have to ask that? All my mornings would be perfect if I was waking up next to you."
My cheeks flushed as I smiled goofily, my heat fluttering away like the Joker walking down the steps. He still made me giddy and fidgety without even trying. "Where are you taking me, Weston?"
Wes smirked as he continued pulling me down the hall without answering my question. "Trust me, will you?"
I sighed as I dragged my feet along and followed him until we got to the doors that entered and exited the dormitory building. My eyebrows pulled together. "We're going out at three am while I'm in my pyjamas?"
Wes paused, tilting his head. "Sort of?" The smirk on his face only made me grow more suspicious and concerned about his intentions here. He was being sneaky and not trying to hide it.
I narrowed my eyes, giving him a bewildered and questioning look.
"Come on."
"It's raining!" I stared out the glass doors with wide eyes. How was he going to expect me run across the campus to the parking lot when I was wearing a t-shirt? It was pelting down heavy rain.
