Skate Comp!

A/N NEW STORY!

Disclaimer: Nini accepted her spot at YAC. Her and Ricky have been doing long distance and are still going strong. She has been in Denver for a little over 4 months.

Nini POV:

Today is Ricky's first skateboard competition of the season. He thinks that I am not gonna be able to make it because I have a really important test for my song writing class; however I just landed at the airport in Salt Lake. I am on my way to the Salt Palace for his competition. I walk in the doors and text Big Red to tell him I'm here.

'OK, come to concessions!' He texts back. I walk to concessions and see the whole gang standing there waiting for me.

"NINI!" They all say in unison as they run and surround me in a giant group hug and I feel so at home.

"Hey guys, I missed you all so much."

"We missed you more girl." Says Kourtney

We all say our hello's and give hugs then it's finally time to go down and surprise Ricky. EEEEEEKK I'M SO EXCITED! I have missed him so much, probably more than I missed anyone. We get to the gate to go on to the floor and are stopped by a security guard

"I'm sorry, competitors and coaches only." We all flash him passes we were given by Ricky's coach. He nods and lets us through. Big Red tells me to stay hidden in the group until he gets Ricky's attention!

"Yo Rick." The beautiful browned eyed, curly haired boy turns around and sees us all. He begins to walk towards us but Big Red tells him to stop. Ricky stops dead in his tracks with a confused look on his face. Red waves me to come out. I step out of the group and Ricky is instantly surprised. I run to him, jump in his arms, and wrap my legs around his waist. He is holding me so tight I can barley breath.

"Hi bubba!" I say softly into his ear, he turns his head and kisses my cheek and slowly puts me down but still not letting go. I move myself so that our faces are touching he leans down and kisses my lips, I instantly kiss back. The kiss is passionate and you could feel how bad we both needed it and how much we missed each other. As we pull away I notice that he is crying.

"Oh baby don't cry, what's wrong?" I wipe away his tears.

"Happy tears." He buries his face in my neck. "I just missed you so much." He sobs.

"Aww Ricky, I missed you too."

"I love you."

"I love you more. Can you believe its been four months?" I ask

"Actually 132 days 2 hours and 37 minutes, but whose counting?" I let out a small smile and feel a tear escape from my eyes and Ricky instantly wipes it off my face.

"Clearly you!" I say as he laughs

"BOWEN! YOU'RE UP!" Yells his coach Mark.

"Coming Mark!" He yells back. "One more?"

"Absolutely!" He grabs my waist and pulls me into him and our lips meet. He pulls away and presses our foreheads.

"I love you beautiful."

"I love you too" He gives me one more little peck on the lips and goes to get ready. As he is walking away he puts his helmet on his head, looks back and gives me a little wink. I smile and walk back to the group.

"Okay that was the cutest freaking thing I have ever seen!" Exclaims Carlos. I giggle and we go find our seats.

"Next up on the half pipe we have, RICKY BOWEN." The announcer exclaims. We all stand up and cheer.

"Let's go Ricky" I scream. He turns and waves then blows me a kiss. I see a couple girls next to us giggle and pretend to catch the kiss. To be honest it makes me a little uncomfortable. I shake away the feeling and snap back to reality just as Ricky is dropping in for his run. Just a minute later he is finished and lands at the top of the half pipe. We all stood up and cheered.

"All right all right all right! That was our last competitor of the evening. Now it's time to find out our winners. There are seven competitors in this division, unfortunately only five can place. So let's find out who those five are." He named off 4 people and not one of them were Ricky. This could be a 50 50 shot if it's good or bad.

"And now the moment you've all been waiting for your first place winner for the 2020 Salt Lake Skateboard divisional.............Ricky Bowen!" We all stood up and screamed as the crowds went crazy we all jumped over the railing. I ran straight into Ricky's arms he lifted me up and spun around.

"Holy shit! Did that actually just happen?"

"It did, you did it!"

"All thanks to you, and this." He reaches down his shirt and pulls out the dog tag I gave him opening night. "My two good luck charms!" I giggle and give him a deep loving kiss.

"I'm so proud of you."

"Thank you baby, for everything."

"Of course bubs." I kiss his cheek. Just then someone comes up to give Ricky his trophy he thanks them grabs his board and we all head out.

Ricky POV:

As we are walking out of the convention center Ashlyn says, "We should have a celebration party at my house!"

"I completely agree!" Says Nini. As we are all heading out to go to Ashlyn's I am stopped by a man.

"Ricky my man could I talk to you for a sec?"

"Holy crap you're..."

"Tony Hawk yeah!" At this moment I am still holding Nini's hand.

"I'll catch up with you in a sec." I whisper in her ear and kiss her cheek. She nods and runs to catch up with the group. "How can I help you?" I say with a huge smile on my face.

"You put on quite a show today. I would like to offer you a spot on my team."

"Oh my god are you serious!"

"One hundred percent serious."

"Um I'd love to I'm going to have to talk to my dad and girlfriend about it but I will definitely get back to you."

"Sounds great, here is my number give me a call." He hands me his card and walks away. I couldn't help but do a little happy dance. I walk out the doors to find the whole gang waiting for me.

"Everything okay?" Asked Nini.

"Everything is great!" I grab her hips and pull her into a deep kiss.

"OH!" I can tell she was not expecting that and it made me smile. We pull away and head with everyone to Ashlyn's house. I am so excited but one thing keeps running through my mind. How am I gonna tell Nini?
