Lucky people are the ones who have a family: a family that you can't live without. So, consider me as someone lucky, because I have the most amazing people around me who make me feel safe and loved.
My mom, Carol, is the best but yet most dramatic mother. I dance with her to old songs and we shake our arses like it's the last day of our lives. She's the closest person to me, being my mother and my best friend, giving me advice whenever I need it and always supporting me and nourishing me in love.
My dad, Richard, is the clown of the family. He always plays with me, even when he is busy, and doesn't ever ditch me when we play hide and seek. He loves my mom - she loves him too and whenever he gets on her nerves she slaps him with a spatula on his arse. Funny right? This is why I love my family, and without them, I am nothing.
I have the best life with the most beautiful and caring family, that embrace my life with love and pamper me with kisses and spoil me with toys to show their affection. Although I am a handful and headstrong child, I know my parents love me regardless of my imperfections.
My parents sometimes fight, but my dad is always in a hurry to apologise and admit my mom is right, even though she usually isn't. He loves her so much that ever since he first set eyes on her, he packed his stubbornness and ego into boxes and shipped them off to sea to avoid causing any chaos.
So what's a family without a little bit of craziness and the odd quarrel?
I am blessed for having a beautiful and happy family who take care of me and are by my side no matter what, showering me in love and affection.
I wish one day I will find someone who will treat me like I am a princess. Someone who will twirl me around and dance with me in the rain. Someone who will cuddle with me and take care of me and be by my side through thick and thin. Someone who loves me just as my mom and dad love each other.
I wish that one day I will take a pen and write the story of my life. The story of a young girl and her knight in shining armour, who fought all of her demons to protect her.
Back on Earth, well, you can say I'm quite the dreamer, spending most of my time alone in my room fantasising.
Mom was preparing the table for dinner and dad was helping her as per usual. He never leaves her side, they're like two magnets that refuse to repel. As I entered the kitchen, I was met by my lovely parents telling me to sit and offer me food and- hold on; that never happened, I was actually met by them eating each other's faces.
They didn't seem to acknowledge my presence so I cleared my throat.
"Here, let me help set up so we can eat FOOD faster," I said, as they pulled away and gave me a shy smile, making secret goo-goo eyes thinking I wouldn't notice.
After we ate dinner and chatted for a little while, I dragged myself upstairs and changed into my soft knitted frozen onesie.I brushed my teeth quickly before practically hauling myself to my bedroom and plopping myself under the covers of my bed, soft toys littered inside.
'Tomorrow's going to be a long day at school,' my inner-voice sighed.
Not long later my parents silently entered my room to read me a story, as they do every night. I'm scared of the dark, so they stay by my side until I fall asleep, listening to the soothing voices of the people I most love.
My eyelids began to droop and, in a few minutes, sleep devoured me as the darkness absorbed me into its world. I felt light kisses on both of my cheeks and as I curled up a sleepy smile crawled onto my face.
