"I know I hate you right now, but I can't hold in this question any longer. Why on Earth would you decide to leave this place? It's beautiful!"
Robin sat behind me, her feet on top of my head rest and asked me that question.
"Technically, this isn't where I moved from. This is just Millie moved. I'm from the other side - Hilo. And to answer your question, it was because me and your mom needed a change of scenery."
I noticed Andrea and the kids squirm in the back seat at my mention of their mom.
Things were going smoothly for the past hour, I wasn't going to screw that up at the mention of her.
"Space Station?" Xavier said as he looked out the window toward a purple and green gas station across the street from us.
"Yeah. I know that place. Maybe we should go there. They might have a car seat for Mason," Andrea suggests as she looks at a sleeping Mason, asleep with his mouth wide open. She moves his floppy hair out of his eyes.
"Ugh. Please," Robin groans. "I need a piss."
A what?
"A what?"
"Ya know. The loo."
Not registering.
"Potty John. The oval office. The stinking toilet!"
"Oh!" Realization struck me hard. "No."
"Fine," she says and goes to pull up the lock on the door and slides the van door open.
"Fine. Jump then," I say and continue to move at a steady 40mph speed.
And then she jumps.
And then Andrea catches her.
She almost falls out herself.
3rd pov:
Robin-McKenzie bursts open the door to the men's bathroom of the Space Station in hopes to find her flesh and blood.
"Little rascals..." she calls in what is supposed to be a whisper, but she can't hear how loud she is because of the headphones on her ears blasting her latest obsession: La Roux - He Rides.
There they are, up in the window leading to the side of the Space Station and it seems like they didn't hear her based on the fact that they were carrying on with their previous shenanigans.
Curious, Robin-McKenzie just put her hands in her pocket, leaned against the door and watched them.
"You think we'll be able to make it on time?"
"Yeah. How else do you think we'll be escaping out of prison when we're older?" Mason reassures Xavier in a weird sorta way.
They both bestride the window and are bent at the waist to peer at a F-150 below, ready to hitch an illegal ride.
Surprised that they actually lept, (and no bone-crushing sounds were heard,) her mandible was slack as she stared at the window from afar.
