As the crew of the Nostromo ran to gather the things they would need from the ship before they blew it up, Ripley was setting the self destruct sequence. It was as she was starting the countdown lock, that she heard a meow form one of the security cameras.

"Jones?" She questioned, looking around. Determination filled her and she left the bridge to track down the wayward feline. She found him in the dining area and swiftly brought him back to the bridge, where she put the cat in a clear containment box. As she did so, she heard Lambert scream from one of the monitors, and Ripley snapped her head up.

"Lambert?! Parker?!" she yelled trying to get their attention. The two crew members had gone down to the boiler room to get things for the smaler shuttle.
"Move out of the way Lambert!" Parker was yelling, but the navigator was to paralyzed with fear to even think of moving. Tears slid down her face as the large creature that killed Kane and Dallas moved closer to her. "Please." she whimpered silently, hoping against hope that the alien would not kill her.

For a brief moment time seemed to stand still, before the creature lunged and used its second pair of teeth to shoot through the top of the womans head and killed her instantly, her blood splattering against the wall she had been backed against.

Parker tried to burn the alien with his flamethrower, but a green glow drew his attention, and the last thing he saw before everything going dark, was inhuman glowing neon green eyes.

Danny watched dispationately as the light faded from the dark skinned man's eyes, even as Sliver dropeed the man from its claws.
"C'mon, lets go find a way off the ship." He stated calmly, not paying any mind to the blood that drenched his clothes. Sliver crooned in agreement and they went on their way.

Ripley started the destruction sequence and began to head to the small shuttle, Jones' carrier under one arm. She refused to let her tears fall, needing to be clear eyed. She had almosst reached the door to the shuttle, when a scraping sound reachedd her ears and she froze, before slowly inching her head around a corner. There in the hall, coming from an air duct was the black creature.

She set down the carrier and quietly backed away from the other hall, before turning and sprinting down the corridor, while the alien stared down at the fuzzy creature left behind. Ripley made it to the boiler room and grabbed the flamethrower, trying not to be sick at the sight of her two former crew mates.

"I'm sorry." She whispered, and she sprinted back to the bridge, even as the five minute countdown continued. The computer counted down in minute intervals, even as Ripley tried to stop the countdown. She didn't know that Ash had fried the self destruct, to where it would continue even if the correct sequencee was done to stop it.

She snarled angrily and left the bridge, hoping that the loud sounds of the alarms and flashing lights would confuse the creature enough that it wouldn't come after her. She made it to the corridor she had left Jones with no inccident, and to her surprise, the cat was still alive, even though the outside of the container was covered in saliva from the creature.

She picked up the crate and headed down the hall and made it to the shuttle. The small ship shuddered as the warrent officer manouvered it out of the docking bay and out into space. She gunned it away from the Nostromo as fast as the smaller shuttle could go. She watched breathlessly from the cockpit as the cargo ship exploded in a flash of light, and relief filled her.

Jones meowed from his crate and Ripley removed the cat fromhis crate.
"It's ok now." She stated happily, kissing the top of his head. She placed him into one of the cryo chambers and closed it, putting him to sleep.

She pressed a button that opened her own cryotank and then stepped over to the life support feature, to make sure everything was in working order before slipping into the cryotank herself and falling asleep, never noticing one of the escape pods was missing.
