"Katsuki Bakugo, and Izuku Midoriya."

Oh. Fuck.

This can't be happening.

I have a bad feeling lodged in the pit of my stomach when I awaken that day. In passing I think maybe it was something I ate the night before, or maybe it was the beginnings of hunger gnawing at me. Whatever it is, I brush it off and decide to get started on getting ready for another day of school.

After a quick shower, I breeze into the kitchen and pop a slice of bread into the toaster. I turn towards the stove, my eyes honing in on the small digital clock.

7:52

Fuck. School starts at eight. I really couldn't afford to be late again this week...

The signature sound of the toaster releasing my breakfast jolts me into action. I grab my backpack from it's spot on the kitchen chair and sling it over my shoulder before snatching my toast from the metal contraption and sprinting towards the front door.

"BYE MOM!" I shout before biting into my toast and slamming the door shut with my freed hands.

The school was only about a five minute jog from my house—and yes I say jog, because I am late for school almost every single day. You would think living basically in the school's backyard would mean I could get to school on time but no. In fact, I think my proximity to the school makes things even worse. I just always seem to think I can get to the school faster than I really can...

Sweaty and out of breath, I barely make it to my first block class on time, but I do it. Just as the bell sounds, I step through the door and make eye contact with my English teacher. I give him two thumbs up and crack a goofy grin.

"Impressive Midoriya." he says with a hint of amusement in his tone, "Hopefully you will continue to prove to be just as punctual in future. Take your seat."

"You bet, Aizawa." I respond cheekily, before making my way to my assigned seat. On my trek to my seat I make eye contact with my best friend, Kaminari. He hand motions finger guns at me, and I return his gesture with a wink.

"Tch."

Ah yes, I'd recognize that annoyed exhalation of breath anywhere. The ever grumpy, bad attitude class delinquent, Katsuki Bakugo. Dressed head to toe in black, he makes a statement with his tell tale leather jacket and black lip ring. The blonde bully was mostly tame in day to day life. In exception to his colorful language and endless barrage of insults to the innocent students around him, Bakugo generally doesn't cause too too many BIG problems. There had only been one incident that I'd heard about with Bakugo that had really encouraged me to steer clear of the guy.

Rumour has it that some weird kid from the other class provoked him: insulted his mom or something that would get a meathead like Bakugo all riled up and he completely snapped. Apparently he broke the kids jaw.

Yeah, I do not feel like getting my jaw broken any time soon so I try my hardest to stay away from the guy. Can you really blame me?

However life is never that easy, is it? Nope. For some reason, this Bakugo kid, who I had almost never talked to, much less interacted with, had it out for me.

Bakugo seems to hate everyone, it was typical for his delinquent image. The whole, 'I'm so intimidating and untouchable' facade. It's pretty unoriginal if you ask me, but that's none of my business. He may hate everyone and everything, but there's one thing he hates most. Well, not a thing, a person. And that person is me.
