"Hey fuck face, you coming or what?"
Deep breaths Midoriya, deep breaths. Being called fuck face wasn't my favourite thing in the world, but I can bear it for an afternoon. I push off of the chain link fence behind me and reply to Bakugo's statement with an overly exaggerated, sickly sweet smile.
"Kacchan, I was just starting to get worried we'd have to rain check on our little play date." I tell him with a fake pout, "So glad you could make it." I continue to tease.
"Shut it. I had something to take care of..." he huffs, eyes shifting to the ground and then back up to me. Our gazes lock for a moment, and I see a flash of his crimson irises before we both look away. "Can you fucking hop to it, dumb ass? I don't have all day." He says in irritation, and without waiting another second, the blond turns tail and starts towards the parking lot.
I let out a breath, adjusting my backpack strap on my shoulder. Bakugo's break neck walking speed requires me to adopt an awkward half walk half run to catch up.
"Quite the pace you're keeping there, Speedy Gonzalez." I say sarcastically as I fall into step beside the taller boy. Bakugo ignores my statement, refraining from responding but rolls his eyes as we traverse across the pavement to the far back corner of the lot.
Bakugo pulls a sleek black key fob out of his back pocket, pressing a few buttons on the small object. The sound of a car unlocking catches my ear and the black SUV parked in the very corner of the lot lights up. Bakugo's car was a glossy, mirrorlike black, with matching rims. I wasn't a car guy, but I could tell it was an expensive vehicle.
"Get in." Bakugo says emotionlessly as we near his vehicle.
"Sick. Usually I ride on the roof, so this will be a nice change." I joke, as we both round the sides of the car.
Bakugo scowls at me and mutters something that sounds like 'That was fucking stupid' under his breath.
Gee. Tough crowd.
Bakugo and I get settled in our smooth leather seats, buckling in. After strapping on my seat belt I notice the giant interactive screen that replaced what was normally a centre console.
"Is this an iPad?" I say aloud, leaning closer to the screen. The screen flicks to an image of a black SUV in a parking stall, backing up, and I feel the car around me completing the same task.
Bakugo snorts at my statement.
"What, you've never seen a Tesla before nerd?" he smirks, a hint of cockiness flavouring his words.
"A Tesla?!" I repeat in disbelief, "Isn't that a hundred thousand dollar car?" I ask him, incredulously.
"I dunno, parents got the damn thing for me." the blond says uninterestedly, not shifting his gaze from the front windshield as we pulled out of the parking lot and eased onto the road. He had his lip ring caught between his teeth as he concentrated on maneuvering the vehicle on the street.
"Wow okay. Does it do the swoopy thing with the doors?" I ask, shifting in my seat to look around the fancy interior of Bakugo's car.
"Yes. It's a fucking Tesla, of course it does." He states, annoyance creeping into his tone. Bakugo has one hand on the wheel, and the wrinkle of frown ghosting his features.
"Is the key shaped like a little Tesla toy car?" I ask, knowing this would likely upset the blond, but allowing curiosity to get the better of me.
"Yes. Fuck. Stop asking me so many god damn questions, idiot." He snaps at me, a full on grimace on his face now.
