"Katy, I'm assuming you were with Derek, so how was the time with him?" I ask as if I never saw her with him.

"It's was fine. He wanted to split for the afternoon," she hangs her jacket onto a rack.

She was still upset about John, and a bit disappointed about Derek, but it wasn't really a good time to tell her. Alone without Shannon, I was going to tell Katy what I heard when she was in the store.

I sigh, "Katy, look. I need to talk with you.
Now before you say anything, please just listen to me."

"And is this about Derek?" She asks holding the tv remote.

"Yes, you need to know."

"What?"

"He threatened to kill you. But he's going to abuse you either today or tomorrow. Katy, you need to be aware of this."

"Please, don't start with this again. This man loves me. He wouldn't do anything to me."

"Haven't you been wondering why he doesn't want to hug or kiss you? Katy, stop believing he loves you."

"Really? Just stop, okay? I'm going to grab some coffee, so I'm leaving. You doing this is really pissing me the fuck off. Just stop. I'll see you in a bit."

I was now left alone. I had to follow behind her; I had to track what was happening.

Down by the coffee shop was this restaurant that allowed seating to be outside. As I looked at the seating, I noticed Derek to be there; only with another woman kissing her and laughing with her.

Katy noticed, but as she was talking towards Derek, the woman he was sitting with walked away.

I got close to Katy and Derek; somewhere where they both wouldn't spot me. She was quite upset, as she was trying to hold in her tears.

"Derek, who the fuck was that woman who was just sitting with you?" Katy looks at the woman then stares him in the eyes.

"Babe, I-," Katy cuts him off.

"Don't call me babe. Who the fuck was she?"

"Uh, she was just a friend."

"Then explain the kissing and laughing you were doing with her."

"Okay, I was caught up in the moment. I swear there's nothing between us.."

Katy walks away as Derek looks at her, "Babe, I won't do it again. I love you," he goes in for somewhat of a kiss.

"Yeah, I'm sure about that."

She then again walks away and proceeds to get her coffee, as Derek gave her a dirty look from behind.

I left to make it back to the hotel as if I hadn't of left. I felt that eventually Katy would catch me snooping on her. I had stopped in the hotel casino to gamble for a bit, and when I returned, Katy was pretty upset.

"Derek was with another woman," she was about to cry.

"I'm sorry. He's an asshole."

Katy walked to her bedroom where I assumed she took a nap to take her mind off of this. She had a text as she left her phone on the table in the living room. It was Derek, only asking for another date.
