It was basically the first day of searching for the police on Katy, since she has now been missing for twenty-four hours. As well as Pam and I, it has been the second day of searching. We have searched one half of the city, and there have been no signs of her. Pam and I have not gotten any sleep either, so we have been out of energy. But the kidnapping of Katy will not stop us from stopping and catching up on some rest.

Our task today has been to drive to the second half of the city and search for her. Moving our way to the second half of the city, we had saw that Katy's kidnapping was on the news. Obviously the interview she had, and the performance at an intermission at a King's game, were to be cancelled. Since it was six-thirty a.m., we figured to leave Ferras and Shannon behind so they could sleep in. Although, as Pam and I reached the second half of Los Angeles, a few die hard KatyCats had offered to help with the searching.

"Hello, guys, we heard about the news, and we are very devastated. In the mean time, can we please help with the searching for Katy?A fan that asked was wearing nothing but Katy merchandise, including her shoes.

"That's very nice that you have offered, but I think it's best that you stay guys stay behind," Pam exclaimed. However, the fans were hurting.

Instead of the fans arguing with Pam's exclaimed words, they had turned around with their head's down. "Why did you tell them that?" I ask her, turning back seeing the fans with still the same feelings.

"It's just something that they shouldn't be helping us with, Christine. It's nothing personal."

"Nothing personal? They're walking with their heads down," I had raised my voice.

"It's because they weren't expecting disappointment. I was just telling them what was best for them," Pam was a bit mad with me.

"Listen, it's nothing bad. We are searching for a huge pop star. It's not like they're going to see her bloodied in the hospital, or something. Come on Pam, can they please do what they are wanting to do, and help us search for their everything?" I state to her.

"Alright! If you think it's best for them, go get them," she was yelling, but I took no offense to that.

I told the driver to turn around and stop to the fans. I had asked them if they still wanted to help, and they had screamed "yes!" I then had asked what their names were, and how old they were. The fan that asked for the first time was Nina Dobrov, and she was seventeen. One fan, who was wearing her Prism sweatshirt, with jeans and vans, was Sylvia Afier, and she was sixteen years of age. The other three were the friends of Nina and Sylvia. Liz Conagher, was also sixteen. The other two were Evelyn Clarkson, who was seventeen, and Lily Klein who was sixteen.

"Nice to meet everyone," I shook their hands, "Is this okay with your parents?"

Nina answered, "No, but usually my mom is okay with things as long as I am with adults."

"Okay, well let's go!"

With the seven of us now back together, the search was no back into action. As well as continuing the search, we had saw some police cars driving. We had followed them for three hours, and there was still no sign. Pam and I also struggled to keep our eyes open.

Our heads kept bobbing, and eventually we had fallen asleep for a few minutes at a time. The fan of girls were very awake, searching out the windows and checking the local news.

This time, Pam and I had slept for about five hours, before we realized what the time was. When I awoke, it was almost two o'clock.

"Are you still searching?" I ask the driver, in a faint voice.

"Of course, and there are still no signs of her." He looks at me through the mirror.

I had awoken Pam up, and asked the KatyCats if it was okay with their parents if they continued with the search.

"It's totally okay," Nina said.

"Alright, because we don't stop for any rest, just you kids know," Pam turned around to state.

With the five hour time of sleep, we were up for the rest of the day. It was one-twelve in the morning when the KatyCats finally went down. There was still no sign of Katy in Los Angeles. Our next stop was her hometown, Santa Barbara. And that ride would be an hour and fourty-three minutes.
