The forgotten fear of what happened to Charles has been resurfaced. Nat has been telling me about the disappearances that have been happening in the day shift since I've been gone. Even the best of the best are no longer safe. He tells me that he was moved to the night shift for the simplest reason of he double checked his data with a fellow scientist. The next day the other scientist wasn't in the lab and he was called to the higher ups to be told that he was now on the nightshift with me.
Once again I wonder how The Company obtained him. And why we are working so hard to figure him out. Nat and I have agreed to work together to find answers. He reminds me of a modern Sherlock Holmes the way he writes down clues in his little pocket notebook. Looks like I'm not the only one with a forbidden journal! Even though I dance with fate and death more and more each day, I feel bolder and less afraid as the tempo of the tune I'm dancing to quickens.
