BETTY POV

I sat at the vanity in my bedroom. I had taken all of my makeup off and I was just looking at myself in the mirror. It had almost seemed like this night had never even happened. Jughead Jones was a third-class passenger. He is homeless yet happy.

"Betty?" I heard at my door. The door opened and Archie stood there. He weakly smiled at me and I did the same at him too. He got closer to me and knelt down beside me. I really didn't want to see him for the rest of the night. But here we are so might as well cooperate.

"Hello...dear. Why aren't you in bed?" I asked just trying to sound polite.

"I wanted to see how you were doing. I know that you're sad and not excited about the marriage. Just trust me, it'll be great. Here's a reminder of how much I love you." Archie smiled and pulled out a small box from his pocket he opened it and I gasped.

"Archie...oh my gosh." I looked at it. It was a silver ring. It had small gems lined up on the front. A diamond, an emerald, a sapphire, and a ruby. "It's...it's very expensive."

"Yes, it was. It was $35,000 to be exact. Betty, I love you. And I know that you love me. Just try to give your heart to me." Archie smirked. He picked the ring up and slid it on my finger. This ring was beautiful. But, it didn't feel like it.
