FANGS POV

"It made my finger swell. It was almost like my finger was stuck in a booby trap. It was a piece of jewelry that made sad." Betty sighed. Sweetpea started laughing and well shot him a dirty look.

"Y-you tried to jump off the cruise ship?! That's so ironic." He laughed.

"Sweets-"

"All she had to do was wait two-days." He laughed even more. Betty gave a fake laugh and weakly stood up. She went to her wheelchair and sat down in it. No, she can't be tired yet. I wanna hear more of her story and more about the ring.

"Betty, do you want more coffee-"

"My grandmother is tired. Thank you, Mr.Fogarty but we're going to sleep. You can hear more of the story tomorrow morning." Michelle got up. Betty did a sarcastic wave at us while Michelle pushed Betty out. I groaned and looked over at the other crew members.

"Listen, Jones, we're running out of time. It's an extra $1,000 each day we stay here. We're already two-days overdue. How important was this ring anyways?" Toni asked. How could she not understand? This ring was important.

"We've put years into this thing, Toni. We can't give up yet! Just give me a couple more days." I nodded. I sat down in the chair where Betty was sitting. We continued to talk. This was too interesting to not talk about.

"Who do you think Jughead Jones is? Do you think Betty cheated on Archie with him? I still don't get how she could be THE Elizabeth Cooper if Elizabeth Cooper died in the sinking." Sweetpea shrugged.

"I'm not sure. He might've been. We could run a couple background checks to see who he was. Michelle Hens is overprotective of her grandmother. There's nothing we can ask her without Michelle getting involved. She's-" I began. I was quickly cut off.

"I'm what?" Michelle asked as she she leaned against the door frame. There was a moment of silence. Kevin stood up along with Toni and Sweetpea. They all exchanged looks with us.

"We're gonna go to bed. Goodnight boss and Michelle." Kevin said. They all rushed out of there. Michelle came into the room and closed the door. It was now just us two. She sat down and crossed her arms.

"Mr. Fogarty, I need you to back off. She has dementia, arthritis, and is 91-years old. Not to mention, she's had a heart attack. I've been taking care of her for three-years now. I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't much help to your investigation." Michelle nodded. I shook my head and rested my elbows on my knees. Betty was the most valuable piece to the puzzle.

"I believe that she's Elizabeth Cooper. I don't know why, but I do. I don't think Elizabeth Jones was her real name. I'm just putting my trust in your grandmother. Look, you should go to sleep. I'm gonna head to bed as well. Goodnight, Michelle." I smiled. She smiled back at me and we both left the room. Betty's story is far from over.
