BETTY POV

"Please! Are we almost there yet?!" Mom yelled. We were going through some hardships right now. My father had just passed away. I am engaged to a total douchebag named Archie Andrews. My life couldn't get any worse. Oh, yes, it could.

Archie's moving his family, me, and my mom to England. I don't want to go. I love it in America. But I have no choice. It'd be good for his business anyways. I'm soon going to be eighteen so it'll be legal for Archie and I to marry. Archie is 27-years old. We keep things on the low and he refuses to kiss me or touch me until we're married. He's even scared to give me a hug.

"Mother, please be patient." I whispered. Our limo driver was trying to get us through traffic the best he could. Oh! Did I forget to mention that Archie has a bodyguard?  His name is Mad Dog. They're both total scumbags so it's no wonder why they're also best friends.

"We're here! I'm so sorry for the trouble. Please, have a splendid trip to England." The driver said. Mad Dog was somehow at my door and opened it for me. I looked around and saw a huge crowd and the gigantic ship. It was quite windy. My hair was tied back into a ponytail and I was wearing a yellow-sundress.

"Excuse me, ma'am. May I ask for your tickets and what class you are?" A crew member asked me.

"Oh, yes. We are-"

"We are first-class and here are the tickets. And since we're first-class, we're rich. Practically royalty on this ship so I expect you to take the luggage to our rooms and to the cargo hold." Archie interrupted me. I rolled my eyes and sighed. I saw Archie put a lot of money in that guys' pocket. The crew member had a grin and walked over to the truck. Archie linked arms with me and we walked together to the ship.

"I hope this is alright. Look, it's the pitiful third-class bridge. We'd go in there and they'd start begging automatically." Archie laughed. Mother laughed and Mad Dog laughed. But me? I didn't find it funny.

"Oh, look! The bridge to first-class! Let's go up there quickly. Mad Dog, please go help with the luggage." Archie said. Mad Dog went off. Mother, Archie, and I went up the bridge on to the ship. It was so beautiful...to everyone else. For me? It was ship taking me to be a servant to Archie for the rest of my life. With no escape and only sadness.

"Hello, welcome aboard! Please, enjoy!" A crew member smiled at us. All I could do was a weak smile. Archie let go of my arm and Mother got up needy to me.

"Please, Elizabeth. Be very calm and graceful. I know that's sometimes a challenge for you." Mother gritted her teeth. She walked ahead of me and all I could do was walk by myself. It was going to be a few days. Might as well make myself comfortable.
