In which Will grips Nico's hair

Will's P.O.V

I opened my eyes to the bright sunlight streaming in from my window. I looked around and didn't see any of my cabin mates. After checking the clock, I knew why. It was almost 11. Lunch would be starting in an hour and I hadn't even gotten dressed yet. Why didn't somebody wake me?

Standing up, I realized that I felt much more rested than the day before. My head was able to think clearly, something I needed when I was working with injured demigods. I felt my back cracking as I made my way over to my dresser. I pulled out a fresh change of clothes before making my way over to the bathroom to get ready for the day. Or what was left of it...

After zipping up my jeans, I dragged a brush through my hair, taking note to get it cut soon. It was getting rather shaggy and if I wasn't careful, it would begin to look like Nico's. I smiled at the thought of the younger demigod. As if a lightbulb had gone off in my mind, I remembered that Nico was stuck in the infirmary. With no siblings at camp, he probably hasn't gotten anyone to get him some breakfast yet! I immediately rushed out of the bathroom and slipped on my flip flops before speed walking out the door.

The warm air hit my face as I pushed through the group of Aphrodite girls that had been hanging around outside my cabin. There were six in total, and they were all equally beautiful. Not to mention, extremely annoying. They stood in a clump directly in front of my door, and despite my rush, I was careful not to harm them. Wouldn't want them breaking a nail or anything...

"Oh, hi Will. What a surprise to see you here!" One of them called out. She batted her eyelashes as she produced a smile that could charm any unsuspecting person's heart. Luckily, I was prepared.

"It's lovely to see you too, but if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to get to the infirmary." I tried to be polite, but sometimes it's hard, you know?

"Actually, we have something to ask you." Another one of them said, twirling her hair as she spoke.

I raised my eyebrow. "And what's that?"

"Well, we're having a little get together at our cabin tonight-"

"And we want to know if you'll come!" Another girl cut her off, looking really excited.

I pursed my lips. "How many people will be there?"

"Just a few guys from the Hermes cabin, some girls from the Demeter cabin, Percy, Annabeth, and some of the Hephaestus cabin." Another girl finished.

"I don't think you'll need me there if you ready have so many people attending." I tried to find an excuse so I wouldn't have to go.

"But we want you to be there!" The girl who spoke first whined.

I bit my lip. "Sorry, I have lots of work to do in the infirmary." I tried another excuse.

"But there's only that one son of Hades in there. I'm sure he can manage on his own for a night. I mean, we're giving you an excuse so you don't have to spend time with him, isn't that great?" The most annoying one said with a grin. I had to bite my tongue from lashing out at her. My blood was boiling from her last remark, but I couldn't just go around harming people. Then I'd have to spend more time with them when I heal them.

"Actually, I think I'd rather spend my night with him." I replied.

They are rolled their eyes simultaneously. It reminded me of a horror movie I had watched when I was younger. "But he's so creepy, and we're gorgeous! What does he have that we don't?"

I mentally laughed, dirty thoughts coming into my mind. "For one, he's not fake. Two, he doesn't go around putting other people down. And three, he's not annoying."

They all gasped at the insult. "Fine! Be that way! But we all know you want a piece of this!" One of them said as she gestured to her body.

"Um... No. Just no." I replied, a little disgusted.

"Whatever!" One of them said before they walked away. Well, more like strutted. I sighed in relief before continuing on my way to the infirmary. To Nico.

I flung the door open and marched strait towards Nico's bed. When I got closer, I realized he was asleep. He had his mouth open just a fraction, and was emitting the softest of snores. I felt a smile rise to my cheeks at the sight. How could people actually think he was creepy! He's like a kitten for the gods sake!

I slowly sat down in the plastic chair beside his bed, making sure I didn't change the angle. I unconsciously began to run my fingers through his hair while he slept on, completely unaware. As the time went on, I continued, smiling at how serene the atmosphere had become. The loud horn disrupted the silence, like a ripple on a calm pond. I gripped Nico's hair at the noisy distraction, effectively waking the younger lad.

"What? Who? Stop!" Nico spluttered, before clutching his head. I immediately dropped my hand, very aware of the blush that had taken over the majority of my face. I bit my lip as I tried to hold in the laughter that was starting deep in my stomach. It bubbled and churned until it exploded out of me like mentos from a coke bottle. I quickly raised my hand to try to subdue the loud release of emotion, but it wasn't very effective. I saw Nico turn in head towards me with a look of shock on his face, before he too joined in on the laughing fest. The loud laughs that filled the room were equal to the feeling growing in my chest. My heart was being filled with so much love for the dark haired boy, and I felt on top of the world. Who said I had to live in the shadow of my past forever? Who said I couldn't break the chains of sadness that held my heart on lock down? Who said I couldn't fall in love with Nico Di Angelo?
Whoever they were, they were wrong.

I hate myself for the extent of fluff that resides in this chapter! I apologize for the feels...

I wish I could wake up next to a laughing Will! Nico's so lucky! Haha

Question: best place to read?

My answer: I think that those egg chair things that hang from the ceiling would be super comfortable to read in, but since I don't have one of those, my best place to read is on a bay window.
