"Alright, pass those ribbons around. Everyone write down your Christmas wish, but don't let anyone see it." Darius says looking at everyone, "Then when you're done, I want you to toss your ribbon into the fire." I rolled my eyes at everyone and I looked at Hope who was looking at Clarke with disgust as he devours his food.

"God, you really are the son of a bottomless pit." Hope says and she looks at me, "When you said you had done something, I didn't think this is what you meant."

"You said get answers, so here it is." I said, and I looked at Clarke still eating, "I don't remember you eating like a savage last time either."

"Here." Clarke shoves his plate to Hope who gives him a glare before he turns to me, "Turn around my love." He shows his piece of ribbon and I turned around with a sigh.

"You know, my patience is wearing thin Clarke. So tell me what the hell is doing this." I said, and I feel him writing on my back.

"My best guess, Krampus." Clarke says, close to my ear and I shivered, not going to lie. I haven't been this close to him in forever, but I shake that from my head as I turned around.

"A what?"

"What the hell is a Krampus?" Hope says, giving Clarke a look.

"It's the monster that brought ice and snow to town. Think of it as the anti-Santa." Clarke says, as we walked towards the fireplace, "Santa rewards good boys and girls, and Krampus does the opposite. It seeks out hatred and anger, instead of peace and joy."

"We're literally surrounded by peace and joy." Hope says, giving him a look as he throws his ribbon in the fireplace.

"Not for long." He says, smirking at us and I glared at him.

"What the hell did you do?"

"You should be proud Hope, I took a page out of your playbook. I found another loophole."

"You're making me regret it." I said, grabbing his arm and pulling him into another room. Once I found an empty space I pushed him in as Hope mutters a spell to shut the door.

"You're spelled inside this room, now what exactly did you wish for?"

"You'll find out soon enough." Clarke says and I clenched my jaw, "Because as you can attest, I've been a very bad boy this year."

"Annoying, mostly." I said, closing my fist taking the air out of his body slowly and he gasps, "You better start talking because if you don't I'm keeping my promise."

"A saviour." He struggles to say and I open my hand, making him take in all the air he could get, "Think of it as a Christmas present from me. You both want to protect Landon, right? Then don't worry, the Krampus is coming to rescue me instead of going after him. It'll kill anyone dumb enough to get in its way."

"Then I guess I'm willing to risk it." I said, and his smirk drops lightly, "And when I survive Clarke, you're going to wish it killed me." I stormed out of the room, I hear music and people dancing.

"Charmeine, why don't you drink some of this?" Josie says, coming up to me with a cup.

"I'm good, thanks." I spat out in anger, not intentionally at her.

"Oh no, is someone in a mood? Well, drink this and you'll be on your merry way." She says, and before I could respond, she gives it to me and I drank it. Soon as she takes it away, I swallowed the drink and I felt lighter.

"How do you feel?"

"Jolly."

I giggled with Josie as we danced and drank some of the hot chocolate, it was so addicting, I couldn't get enough. I stood next to Caleb who was pouring me more and more of the drink. I felt someone grab my shoulder and I spotted Hope.

"When the hell did you change?"

"Hope, it's so good to see you." I exclaimed, hugging her and she gives me a look.

"How are you getting effected by it now? It's been hours since Krampus came to campus." Hope says and I giggled.

"Oh you silly goose. Why don't you have some of this?" I said, putting my cup to her face and she takes it, putting it down. She puts her hand on my head and I see blackness around me.

"Hey, easy." I hear and I groaned as I opened up my eyes, I see Hope standing right above me.

"What the hell happened?" I said, getting up and I looked down at my clothes, "And what am I wearing?"

"Long story short, you drank a concocted drink that put in a merry mood and apparently merry you is a brighter star." Hope says and I sighed.

"Where is everyone?"

"I finally got everyone to snap out of their merry attitudes and it turns out Santa is real." Hope says and I looked at her.

"You mean to tell me I was passed out before I could meet Santa?" I said, and she chuckles.

"You okay? I mean, I put you to sleep but you passed out longer than before."

"Yeah well, I guess I'm learning new things about myself." I said, and I looked around frowning, "What happened to Clarke?"

"I-uh, let him go. He actually kept up his side of the deal." Hope says and I nodded, but I felt off.

"Well, good riddance." I said, smirking at her.

"You know you don't have to lie to me. He was your first love and it's hard to forget them, even when you think you've moved on." She says, and I smiled at her nodding.

I walked straight to my room and changed out of my clothes, just as I got myself into my pyjama's I hear my phone ring. I look over to see it was an unknown number making me frown before picking it up.

"Hello?"

"Hello Charmeine." Clarke's voice rang through the phone.

"How do you know my number?"

"Hope may have slipped your number to me." He says and I snorted, before clearing my throat.

"Didn't think I would be talking to you any time soon." I said, biting the inside of my lip.

"Yeah, I just thought you deserved a better bye from me." He says, and I gulped, "And everything you need to know about Nephalem is in your room." I looked on top of my bed and surely enough there was a folder on my bed, I hadn't spotted before.

"Pit stop to my room? That isn't creepy." I said, smiling lightly and I hear him chuckle, "Aren't you on a time limit?" I sat by my window as I looked out.

"The last 10 minutes of my life I would rather listen to your voice." Clarke says and I felt myself smile lightly, before a heaviness was on my chest.

"Well lucky for you, I'm free. So tell me something I want to hear."

"I know we've been on different sides of this but I love you Charmeine, so much. You are the love of my life and I don't think I'll ever love someone like I love you. You may hate me but I guess I can live with that. I was selfish to despise you from moving on, only because I wanted what we had before. Our family." Clarke says, and I hear his voice waver, I felt tears coming to my eyes.

"I don't hate you Ryan. I can never hate you."

"I wanted you to myself, because you're the only one who's ever cared about me, is that too much to ask?"

"No, it isn't." I whispered out, feeling the tears about to fall.

"I better go." Clarke says and I felt my lip whimper as I tried to hold it together, "Merry Christmas Mae, I love you."

"Merry Christmas Ryan." I said, and he hangs up. I put the phone down and I felt myself breakdown, I brought my knees up to my chin as I cried out.
