My Scribbled Thoughts [Poetry]

Patience

Sometimes, you fall for something (or someone) so badly that you become restless to achieve it.

Minutes feel like days
And
Days feel like years.

You eventually reach a point
Where time completely stops moving.

The heart grows more and more anxious
You start praying more
You start toiling more
But,
You fail to see any sign.

That's when you start doubting
You try a little more
But, no sign again!

Tired of waiting and waiting,
You finally decide to give up.

A sea of tears
An unfulfilled desire
A heartbreak
And many more gloomy days.

After a certain interval
You move on

You move on
Because you realise
That it was His plan
And
He is the best of all planners.

And...
With all this suffering
There comes before you-
A huge surprise,
A big gift!
Something, that you even
never imagined in your dreams!

You smile
You laugh
You dance in joy
You celebrate!

That's when you realise:
"If Allah is making you wait, then be prepared to receive more than what you asked for."
