Mae hadn't left her house in weeks. She stayed mostly occupied, braiding and unbraiding her hair until it was a fuzzy, crimped disaster and leaning over her computer for her 1;00 Am Skype session with June, April and August. (yes, they were all named after months)
Today was rainy and warm, creating a fog around the toad-green house Mae lived in. Her small flower garden was wilted.
