Angel stood patiently in line at the cash register, holding her bright, turquoise dress carefully under her shoulder.  She sighed.
Tapping her feet suggestively, she rushed aside the person in front of her, who was counting their change.
" Aah, here it is," he said.  Happily, he pulled out a quarter.
" Have a wonderful day," the lady behind the counter called out to him.
She moved towards the register, dress in hand, ready.
" Hi," she said sweetly. " I'd like to purchase this dress."
" This a designer dress," said  the woman, staring at Angel's tattered shirt, and ripped, falling apart jeans. "Almost completely sold out."
" Just tell me how much it is," Angel snapped, impatiently tapping her fingers on the cold, marble counter.
" For a dress like this, it'll cost you about six hundred dollars and fifty dollars."
" Shoot," Angel said.  "I'm only eighteen." .I don't have money for something like that."
She sighed.
" We'll, can I at least try it on.? To see how it looks?"
The cashier smiled.
" Sure, sweetheart. The dressing room is right over there."
Disappointedly, Angel walked over to  the small, white door, labeled "dressing" on the top.
She stepped inside.
She stopped, staring at the tiny, enclosed room, reserved for changing.
A full length mirror hung awkwardly, forcibly glued onto the door.
She stared at her reflection.
Her long black hair was greasy and dirty, matted and knotted into clumps. She lifted her plain, blue t shirt, staring disgustedly at her body.
She felt the long, thin bones peering out from her pale stomach. Carefully, she pinched it.
Nothing happened.
She sighed.
" I am fat," she told herself.
Suddenly, an idea occurred to her.
Stealthily, quickly, she stuffed the brightly colored blue dress into her camouflage green pouch. She tore off the price tag.
She hoisted the small bag onto her shoulders.
" I need this," she told herself. "I deserve this."
Carefully, determinedly, she stepped out of the tiny room.
She thrust open the door.
Smiling, she breathed a sigh of relief.
A young man stood outside, waiting.
He grinned, menacingly.
" Maam, I'm going to have to ask you to step outside."
She stopped, shocked.
He put a hand on her shoulder.
" What did I do?'
"Maam, remove the item from your purse. "
Angel stared, horrified, as a young girl pulled out a bright green cell phone from her backpack, videotaping the event. She tried to hide her face.
Forcefully, she pulled out the extravagant dress.
" Can I still come back?", she asked, sweetly.
