                       "may the indulgence begin"
Everyone took their seat at the beautifully decorated dining table as the servants brought out their meal.
"You've outdone yourselves" Amora said glancing around.
"Oh no sister, this is just a small get together. Of course fine dining isn't on your usual agenda I see" Azazel responded with a quiet smirk.
"Why of course it is! I've been to some of the finest eating establishments in the country! Don't flatter yourself brother" Amora responded smartly. Azazel felt a urge to one up her response.
"And who paid for such visits, dear sister" he asked.
"Is that really any of your concern brother?"Amora snapped.
"Oh of course! I'm running out of pages to write such cheques on, beloved sister" Azazel increased the anger in his tone.
"No worries then, all expenses are paid by myself" Amora glared at her brother.
"My vault says otherwise" he mumbled.
"Then I suppose you should watch your slave a little closer when counting your money" Amora came back without a ounce of hesitation. Victoria couldn't help but scoff.
"Excuse me Amora but, Nancy is very close with our family and we would appreciate for you to not call her a...slave" Victoria cut in.
"You know she's like a sibling to us Amora!" Azazel raised his voice. Victoria flinched.
"G-girls will you please go freshen up for the ball and DO NOT come down until Nancy comes to get you" Victoria said to her daughters.
"Yes mother" the girls said in unison and quickly did as they were told. Amora couldn't help but raise an eyebrow but didn't draw attention to it.
"Must you always have something snarky to say around that wife of yours?" Amora asked her brother.
"And what did you mean by snarky, Amora?" Azazel responded.
"Please do not argue like this in front of the children. Elizabeth is stressed enough with royal training. Charlotte heart doesn't benefit from this and it worries Josephine and Hannah to death" Victoria cut in.
"Oh right, your pampered brats can't bear a lick of stress, can they?" Amora smirked almost evilly.
"I AM THEIR MOTHER. I ONLY WANT TO PROTECT THEM!" Victoria shouted, slamming her hands on the table.
"It's only a sibling rivalry my love" Azazel chuckled.
"Yes...a sibling rivalry. Now if you will excuse me, i'll show myself to my room to freshen up." Amora said as she stood and up and walked out of the dining hall. There was a short silence before Azazel broke it.
"More soup for us?" He asked trying to lighten the mood. Victoria sighed.
"Nancy, go get the girls down here. It's almost time for the guests to arrive."
