Chapter 6: Amusement Park

The girls were lying on the floor as the cabinet had fallen on top of them. Vineet rushed and pulled up the cabinet so that it didn't harm the children further. Ruhana held both Avni and Manvi.

Avni was crying as she was hurt on her elbow. Ruhana picked her up and went to the couch and made her sit. She got first aid and cleaned her wound.. "Bas beta thik ho jayega"

"Aah.. dard ho raha hai" Avni cried.

Ruhana eyed Manvi, she looked down and Ruhana understood it was her fault.

Avni hugged her and she patted her head.

Manvi went to her and tapped her hand.. "Mumma.."

Ruhana eyed her angrily.. "Chup jao room mein" she scolded her.

"Par"

"Kya par? Har waqt shaitani.. Gira di na cabinet? Mana kiya tha na maine wo cabinet hilti hai waha mat khelna par tumhe wahi jaana tha lag gayi na Avni ko chot" She scolded further.

Manvi frowned and ran to the room.

She threw her toys on the floor in anger. Vineet entered and found her sitting on bed angrily. He sat beside her and asked "itna gussa?"

"Mumma ne mannu ko daanta toh gusha hai mannu" she said firmly.

"Par aap se bhi toh cabinet gira tha na?" he asked politely.

She agreed it was her fault "galti se hua.. Mannu sorry hai par itna daanta.. Not fair" she said adamantly.

He pulled her towards his lap "are.. Aap galti karoge toh mumma daantengi na?" he said briefly.

She was not ready to understand anything. "Gusha.." the word was stuck in her throat.

"Aise gussa nahi karte.. Wo aapki mumma hai na aur agar unhe aapko daanta hai isliye na taaki phirse aap wo galti na karo" he explained.

She made faces but was finally convinced "no gusha.." she said in a low tone.

"Smile karo" he said looking at her face.

She denied, she suddenly hugged him and started rubbing her eyes. Maybe she was tired, he asked "Aapne medicine li?"

She denied by shaking her head. He looked around, and found the syrup bottle on the table. He picked it up and fed her the syrup. She was not ready to leave him, soon she fell asleep. He lay her down on the bed and covered her with a blanket.

He commenced towards the door and found Ruhana standing there. She smiled and said "thank you.."

"It is fine aur masoom si bachi hai wo abhi, itna daanta nahi chahiye tha aapko" he said in a whispering tone.

Ruhana eyed at her daughter "masoom? Sirf sote hue hi lagti hai.. Shaitaan ko bhi peeche chod rakha hai isne warna toh shaitaaniyon mein" she commanded.

"Ab yahi toh umar hai ab nahi karegi toh kab karegi? Avni bhi karti hai shaitani toh" he replied.

"Kaha? Aapki beti suljhi hui hai aur ye madam kuch nahi samajhti" she said.

"Samajh jayegi.. Agar aap pyaar se samajhayengi" he said meaningfully.

Ruhana sighed...

They moved out of the room, Avni asked "papa.. Mannu kaha hai?"

He went to her and replied "beta.. Wo soh gayi hai.. Aapko zyada toh nahi lagi?" he asked looking at her wound.

She denied "nahi.."

"Papa sunday ko hum amusement park chale?" she asked.

"Chalenge.." he agreed to her.

"Ruhana aunty aap mannu ko leke aana maza aayega" she said looking at Ruhana.
