It was near midnight. A time when most of your comrades were fast asleep and getting ready for the following morning, a time when you'd be tucked under your warm covers, taking off the tension from your tired muscles.

But, you were no place near your bed and instead patiently standing inside Squad Leader Hanji's office. The ream tucked upon your arms seemed heavier than ever, as you struggled to keep your eyes open.

"Here's the complete paperwork Captain." You said, finally placing the stack on her pristine desk, which was filled with various other researches about her previous titan experiments, "Is there anything else I can do for you?"

The quirky woman stands up from her chair, adjusting her goggles before pacing throughout the room.

"Hm actually no! But could you remain in the office for a while? I feel lonely today." Hanji mumbles with pouted lips, trying to persuade you to stay. You incredulously stared at her, wondering how she still seemed energetic as hell. As much as your body screamed in exhaustion, you reluctantly decided to serve as Hanji's company.

She squealed in excitement and once again sat at her seat. A cool breeze sipped in through an open gap from the room's window. You hesitated closing your eyes, almost certain that you could fall asleep at any given second.

The candle neatly placed upon Hanji's table began to slowly dissipate as the minutes and hours dragged on, making the office have an even cozier environment. Soon enough, you found yourself curled on one of the room's couch with Hanji peacefully dozed off, her forehead glued to the table.

"Shhh, we must be silent." A soft voice whispered as you still snored quietly, a trail of drool dripping down your chin.

"But Captain Hanji! We were supposed to be having a meeting right now." A low voice groaned in frustration, "Have more consideration towards our rendezvous."

"Okay, I guess I got a bit carried away! Pardon me, Commander."

The blond man sighed, shaking his head slightly before approaching your sluggish body. Not wanting to dawdle his precious time, Erwin tucked both arms under your legs and back, with enough care as if he was balancing a set of fragile plates.

"You know... we could've just woken f/n up," Hanji says, a prolonged yawn escaping her lips.

Erwin decided to ignore the question and exited the room, with the same stoic eyes as always. Step by step, he gently carries your body throughout the hallways, ignoring the peculiar and quizzical glances from the soldiers. Eventually, he would peer down you and chuckle at your messy face. Dry drool now sticked to your skin as you unconsciously chewed on some strands of hair.

And as the man began approaching your dormitory, he seemed to slow his pace down, afraid that soon enough you'd no longer be on his arms. You shifted sideways, bringing your legs closer and pushing your face further into Erwin's stiff chest.

His arms were growing tired, but Erwin still hesitated on entering your opened bedroom. The hallways were about to be filled with other bystanders, who would most likely not understand why, in the name of Wall Sina, Commander Erwin was standing petrified behind the doors of your room.

After having admired your face for a few more minutes, Erwin finally ingresses inside with a sigh of disappointment. He took his time laying you upon your mattress, as he carefully took off your boots and garments. A stinging sensation would flutter down your whole body, every time the Commander would softly touch your legs and back.
