The next morning Sandtail woke to smoke and ash. A rug lay on the floor and a map on the wall some tapestry's hung. "Just spruced the place up a bit" Starburst said. "Do you like it?" He looked around. It certainly was nice. "Course, thanks for bringing the sand kingdom back in for me" he said looking at the yellow rug and Sandwing tapestry's. "What's the map for?" He asked. "Well I was thinking..we could live in possibility" it took a moment for his mind to register.
Possibility? Away from the sand kingdom?
"Whats possibility?" He asked. "A village where all tribes are welcome"
could we go there? Would we be free from hiding? "We don't have to its just an idea" "But it's a good one" He said. "I'd never have to run again!" She nodded. "We can leave tomorrow" "sounds great!" he said jumping up off the floor. "Also I bet your starving so you want to go fishing?" Starburst asked happily. There wings brushed. "Yup!" He said
Now I can spend the rest of my life with her. And I won't have to run no longer.
They squeezed out of the small hole and made way for the ocean. They dove down into its depths looking for fish. Sandtail got one in his jaws and crushed down onto its bones. And swallowed it whole before coming up for air. Starburst emerged after him with two fish. She threw him one. "Eat up!" They sat on a black beach and ate.
"You know nightwings cant actually read minds and tell tell the future?" He nearly spat out his fish.
What did she just say? She couldn't have! What? "My tribe are liars!" She huffed. "We haven't had a Nightwing who has powers in generations!" Was it true? Was it all a lie? "But your not like that" he said. "Really?" She asked. "No your not a liar your a much better dragon than any Nightwing, your also the dragon I'm going to spend the rest of my life with"
Later they went to bed but what they didn't know was a Nightwing had reported them and was gone to get back up.
