ben turns around, nervous to face amari after all of that. he knows that she going to to be pissed, but how pissed, was the real question. he's met with crossed arms and a pissed off look on her face when he finally does turn around. "amari-"

"let's go," she says, pushing herself off of the wall and walking towards nia, who is clearly hitting it off with kemba and jayson. amari was happy for her.

ben follows close behind her, thinking of ways he was going to attempt to cool her off with. amari gently pinches nia as she passes, sending her a smirk and a wave and nia returns it. she'd have to see her in the morning.

ben nods at the trio before picking up the pace to catch up with amari, who is practically running down the hallway. how she walked that fast in stilettos, ben would never know.

"slow down," he says, catching ahold of her wrist and pulling her to a stumbling stop. she yanks her arm out of his grip and sends him a death glare before continuing her walk. "you don't even know where you're going." ben says, making her come to an abrupt stop. she crosses her arms and he brushes past her, leading her to the direction of his car.

the only sound to be heard was the clicking of amaris heels as they walked. she was pissed and he was getting more and more frustrated the closer they got to his car. he didn't want to deal with her attitude for the rest of the night.

ben unlocks the car and amari quickly gets in, slamming his door for good measure. "don't be slamming my doors like that," ben warns, closing his and pushing the button that roars the car to life.

"whatever," she mutters, opening up her white, baby LV bag—a gift from karl—and pulling out her phone. she scrolls aimlessly through social media, her mind on how she wants to cuss ben and kendall's asses out.

ben messes with the aux before his phone connects and he manages to get to his music without crashing. he presses shuffle and of course, days in the east by drake comes on. of course.

amari sighs dramatically at nothing, pouting for the hell of it. "lose the attitude, amari," ben says, gripping the wheel tightly.

"or what? you're the one who gave it to me anyway," amari states, laying the attitude on thick. she'd make this car ride a living hell if she had to.

ben sucks his teeth before quickly glancing at amari. "i'm not playing with you."

"and i'm not playing with you either, nigga! what the hell was that little reunion i just watched?" amari asks, shifting in her seat so her back was against the door.

"she's just a friend—not even a friend! i don't know why she was there," ben says truthfully. he hasn't talked to kendall in months. this was another type of desperate he didn't expect from her.

amari barks a bitter laugh and licks the inside of her jaw. "now i know you lyin'," she says, cracking her knuckles out of habit—she wasn't going to fight him.

"i'm not! why don't you ever believe me?"

"because it's not fucking believable, ben! do you hear yourself?" she yells, her blood boiling. every time it's something with kendall, it sounds like a lie—like that time he partied with her and they just "slept" in the same bed. it all sounds fake.
