All Grown Up, Chapter 21

Mia's POV:

"Aren't you just so excited for the family gathering at the lodge again?" I asked Logan as we were walking to the lunch room.

"Yeah, totally. It should a load of fun. I can't wait until this day is over and we get to go on break." She cried. I agreed with her and laughed.

I went to the vending machine and got a water bottle then walked over to the table that Luke was at.

"Hey, how is your day so far?" He asked me as I sat down next to him.

"Good, thanks. I just can not wait until this day is over. What about you?" I asked in response.

"Better now that I am with you." He said kissing my cheek.

"What did you do?" I laughed. Luke rolled his eyes and went to eat his sandwich.

"How much are you packing for the Thanksgiving dinner and few days?" I questioned Luke.

"You are asking the wrong person, babe. I will probably bring 2 pairs of boxers." Luke chuckled.

"Luke, we will be there for like 4 nights and 5 days." I informed him.

"What are you saying?"

"You're disgusting." I shook my head in disgust.

"I was kidding!"

"Sure you were." I rolled my eyes.

"I was! I don't know. If I were you I would bring some short shorts for bed and some tank tops." He smirked.

"You are impossible." I groaned.

"But you love me." Luke kissed my head.

"Do I?" I asked as he pouted.

We finished lunch and Luke offered to throw my things away for me. Luke is always a gentleman, if only he could control his hormones. I laughed slightly to myself and finished drinking my water bottle. I grabbed my cross body purse and slung it over my shoulder. I stood up and went to talk to my friends as Luke talked to his friends.

"Should we be worried about Luke and you while you are at the lodge?" Blue asked which made me confused.

"Why would you worry about us?" I questioned, obviously not getting what she meant.

"Well, I understand. you two are getting pretty serious..."

"Blue! Ew! Stop. We are so done with this conversation." My face flushed and I punched her shoulder.

"Well, Luke did want you to wear very little clothing." She said.

"He was kidding and I said we were done with this conversation."

"Done with what conversation?" Luke said walking towards us.

"Nothing!" I rushed out but recovered by grabbing his hand.

"We have free period. What do you have next?" I asked him. I knew his schedule but the high school free periods were a little hard for me to understand.

"I have a 20 minute free period then I have creative writing class." He told me. I have to go to the library to work on a paper so I need to use a book to look up research.

"Well, I need to use a book for my project on the president of the U.S. during 9/11 so do you want to come to the library with me?" I asked batting my eyelashes and sticking out my bottom lip.

"Fine. I will bring my math homework there. Let me sign out and I will meet you there at the start of free period." Luke pecked my lips and we went our separate ways for the five minutes we have between lunch and the free period.
