It had been a year since Yami had disappeared, Kyo refused to believe that he had died, there is no way he was dead. He was alive, she just knew that he was and she will not give up so easily. Her days have now fallen into a monotonous routine, without Yami here; She would get up, go to work, she has taken over the role of a Sukehiro and taken her place as the leader of the village. She was the last Sukehiro, even though they didn't get married but they are still soulmates for life.
Today was the festival, she had little interest in it as she was no desire to go out as the small fear in her that tonight when the moon disappears and the darkness comes, she won't see the glowing red threads of fate tieing her together with Yami like it glowed every year since they had found each other. Sayuri-san kicked her back home to get ready for the festival, she half-heartedly did get dressed, thinking she'll just go to the beach for some time and then go to Sayuri-san as she had ordered her to do. She doubted she would be able to enjoy the festival anyway since it would be too crowded anyway. Without him here there's no way she'd like to roam around so many people.
Kyo stood at the place where they first met, standing at the exact spot that she stood in, waiting for the moonlight to disappear. Slowly it did and she could see the red thread connected to her small finger going towards and what it seems like, beyond the sea but the thread still glowed red as it did the day they first met. She was crying and laughing at the same time, unsure of what to feel. She wiped her eyes, it was then that she notice that there was a glowing figure walking towards her slowly.
She could see a tall and muscular figure glow in front of her, small hazel eyes staring at her lazily, brown hair brushed backwards walk towards her. She stared at it with her mouth gasping. It was Yami, he looked the same and different at the same time, his attire was totally different. The glowing figure closed her mouth, caressing her cheeks softly, looking into her eyes with a gentle emotion in their eyes. Holding her hands in theirs, she looked down to see, her thread connected to his. The ring he gave her still in your ring finger, Kyo put it there as a sign for everyone to see that she belonged with him and him with her. There was a small smile on his face as he saw that ring there and on that finger.
As the moon started to come out, his figure started to disappear and she tried to hold on to it. "Yami?!" Kyo shouted as you tried to grasp his hand only for her hand to go straight through his like a ghost. He disappeared, Kyo could only see her thread glowing leading towards the sea and beyond. As the moonlight fully came out, she just stood there, looking at the ocean, wanting nothing more than to run towards it and find her Yami but she knew that would be a death wish.
The fate brought them together for a reason and she refuses to give up, he's alive and what just happened was a proof of it.
Far away, In the Kingdom of Clover, Yami stood at the stop not moving anywhere. His hands still in front of him, where he was holding her hands. With a shake of his head, he smiled, "Silly girl" when he remembers the ring in her finger, the ring which he gave her. Also, the ring that makes her a Sukehiro. It might sound a little selfish but a part of him was happy to see that but a part of him pained to think that he might never go back to her again. He tried to go back for her but he has no idea how it works, things are different when you come to this country. His age turned younger teen self and grew up faster, for Kyo it was just a year but for Yami, it has been years.
Julius stood behind him wondering who she was and what just happened, all this new and unknown mysteries made him so excited and jump in curiosity. He felt powerful mana coming from her, he had never felt such powerful mana come from anyone, yet she looked harmless. How does Yami know her?
But far away from the Clover kingdom, Kyo stood unable to express the mixed pool of emotions that ran through her. She laughed in glee unable to conceal her happiness, she was right!! she was right!! Yami was alive! he was alive and well! that's all that mattered to her. That's all she wanted to know. This was all it took to fill her with hope again, smiling and skipping she made her way to Sayuri-san's diner. The festival no longer looking dull to her but full of young love and beautiful sight. She knew that she was getting happy over such a small thing but she couldn't help it. Even though she has no idea where he is but as long as he is alive, she knows fate will help them find their ways back to each other, one day surely, no matter what happens.
