Chapter - 11

She kept her sight on the tip of what seemed to be a large horn, was it a skull? of some kind of monster? What kind of place is this? To have such a big head just lying around, hopefully, it would be a boss beast or something cause there is no way she can defeat that big something at her level now.

Even surpassing her limits would surely knock her out for good and her consciousness is important. As long as she is conscious, she refuses to accept defeat and lose, she has to find her way back...

Her steps faltered a bit, she thought to herself...

back to where?

No! 

I need to get back to Yami...

where I should be.

She thought as she picked it up again. Now her goal is clear in her mind. She will find her way to Yami, it doesn't matter how long it takes or what she has to do. She will find him.

There's no reason for her to look back for a way back to the island. Not after what those people had done. They could burn in hell for what they did and if that doesn't happen to them, she'll burn them up herself.

She could hear footsteps rushing towards her direction, she decided to change her direction not wanting to trap innocent people that might be in that area. And she'll be damned if let her know which direction she's planning to go on.

"Mairëa" She hears the weirdo from before calling out to her.

"I have told you before, I. AM. NOT. MAIREA!" She snaps as she reaches a clearing. Suitable place to fight these idiots... or die.  Works either way.

She unsheaths her sword and decided to give this fight her all cause she refused to fail and be this Mairëa person to this weirdo.

Kyo runs towards them, focusing on Ki, and fights them.  Their leader decided to stand back and watch her. She couldn't decide how creeped out she felt by him just watching her as she sliced and stabbed through his people.

Suddenly he appears behind her, making her duck out of his reach, "I see, this mortal's memories seem to be coming in the way of our union, Mairëa."

"No, YOU are coming in the way of my life. I. Don't. Give. A. Shit. About. YOU OR WHOEVER THIS MAIREA IS!, Kyo tried to attack him continuously hoping to land a hit on him. Her rage gets the best of her, making her lose the precision she holds over her blade.

"But you do care, darling. You can't even bring yourself to properly land an attack on me" He calmly dodged her attacks.

"AHHHH" Kyo screams in frustration and anger.

He swiftly disarms her, holding her tightly making it impossible for her to move. He preys her mouth open and pours a vile of a liquid down her throat, she goes to spit it out but he kisses her, shoving his tongue down her throat.

The liquid tasted as vile as the kiss he forced on her but what felt worse was the losing strength and splitting headache that was making it hard for her even to keep her eyes open. 

"WhA-" She pushed away from him and he lets her, he knew that potion's side effect is painful but there is no other way. He had to do it for her, her current form is too tainted by the mortal.

A good long sleep and when she wakes up, everything will be exactly how it was meant to be.

What no one accounted for was, Kyo was someone even Yami feared when it came to surpassing limits and doing the most unexpected things. Kyo didn't lead them here for no reason. 

Yes, she lost her cool but had no intentions of losing. She decides to give the next five minutes her everything. 

She runs forward to attack, seeing his moves with Ki and taking advantage of that. She manages to land a hit on him and before she lands another he jumps away from her, holding his head as if in pain but she has no empathy for that and runs for it.

She runs as fast as she can towards the place they were holding her in, she has already left tracks leading them towards the direction of the village. While they search the village, she knew they won't be paying much attention to the place she was held captive in.

She enhanced her running and made sure not to leave any traces behind. Looking around she went for the thick lush tree that would hide her easily and comfortably.

She thought it was a good spot to lay low while they search around for her in the village and areas in that general direction. She concealed her presence the best she could and decided to wait it out. 

Through all the chaos, she could make out that they believed she went into the village for help or beyond that. She lay there, gathering intel as best she could listening in to their conversations. 

Apparently, this is the clover kingdom and these idiots were part of some weird group, Kyo preferred the term cult for them. And according to them, Kyo was very important to their leader. She couldn't understand a lot of it cause, well, she didn't understand their language fluently. 

She tried to sense off their creepy leader's ki but couldn't sense it anywhere near. Not that she was complaining cause he was the one she was most worried about cause compared to his subordinate, he was on a totally different level.

Kyo could feel her eyes shut, that potion had been making her feel weird and painful in her head but forced them to stay open cause she had to be alert at all costs, at least till she escapes this area and towards the village. Since she had no idea what the potion could do if she sleeps.

She finally heard the group mention leaving the area, Kyo felt relief but held herself carefully, letting every ki she felt there move further and further away from her before carefully standing up.

Time to move.
