Kyo turned to stare at the empty stop beside her with a sad look in her eyes. The preparations for the festival has begun and as the days are closing in, she felt anxious to see Yami again. With the war and becoming the leader of the village, she basically has an entire group devoted to her downfall, they believe that she isn't fit to rule though they never say that out loud to her because they know she accepts any challenges given to her and they decided to try and play conspiracy with her. There are people who support and cares for her, they try to help her out as much as they can but even they can do so much.

She got up thinking about getting some work done since sitting about all day is not helpful anyway. She had to go through a bunch of requests for the festival, she held the papers in her hand as she made her way towards the diner and took a seat where Yami and she use to sit. She started going through the requests and kept a map of the village so she could check the security at the same time. She saw tea and some snacks placed in front of her, she looked up to she the lady who has been her rock with everything that's going on and smiled thanking her. She was originally going to say that she's not hungry but she didn't want to make her worry any more than she already is.

The day of the festival came faster than she thought or maybe she was so busy with war and safety of the village that it slipped her mind. She made sure she was dressed properly before she left her house because she knew she won't get any time to get dressed later, despite being all dressed up she was wearing hear light armour and was armed heavily because she was going to guard the outskirts of the village along with some other people who volunteered, mostly those people whose other half were no longer alive, except a few who just wanted to help protect their village.

Kyo looked delicate and beautiful under the night sky as the moon shined brightly, if not for the armour and her weapons, she looked like a lady or princess but everyone in the village knew better than to fall for her looks anf they believed she was just as demonic as Yami, if not more. Kyo took her position away from others as she noticed that the moon was going to disappear soon, she didn't want others to see Yami because they will only spoil the few minutes she would get to be with him with unnesscary questions. As the moon started to disappear, Kyo closed her eyes, taking a few deep breaths and opened them.

Yami stood in front of her towering her, 'when did this happen' ran through her head, she was shaken to see how much he has changed, not that she minded. Ahem. "I love you so much, Yami," She said holding his hand looking in his eyes, with her eyes tearing up at the relief that washed over her. It's been so long since she had told him that and before the moon appears and she loses her chance again she wanted to tell him that. "I love you as well, Kyo" Yami placed his free hand on her cheek wiping away a stray tear that seemed to have betrayed her and fallen down.

The moon started to appear again and Yami started to fade when Kyo saw a small feminine hand placed over Yami and hers, silverly vines woven bonded their hands together, she looked over to see a woman, with long hair and delicate features, she felt a pang of jealousy when she saw the smile she gave Yami but frowned when she heard the lady say, "I'm not using my magic just so you would gawk at her, say something, you apE!!" then she looked at Kyo and smiled softly saying "I'll try to buy you guys as much time as I can. It's nice to finally meet you, Lady Kyo" before taking her hands off theirs and disappeared.

"Who is she? " She raised a brow at Yami.

"That was Hikari, her magic is affiliated to solar and lunar, that's how she's able to keep us connected." Yami's answer was short and not very useful but she didn't push much, she was just so happy to see and talk to him again. "You have changed." Her eyes scanned him up and down making Yami smirk, "Like what you see?"

"Maybe"

"Well, I definitely like what I'm seeing" Yami continued to smirk when his eyes fell on the katana at her side, that made him turn serious in an instant. "What's going on there?" He asked concerned.

"War." Was all she could say and one look at her face told Yami all the stress and burden that was on her shoulder and he pulled her into his arms, kissing her head. Knowing that there is not much that he can help her with from there right now but he can comfort her at least.

They sat down as Kyo began to fill him in about all that has happened after he disappeared, to say he was proud of his Kyo could not even cover the half of what he felt towards her. She had always been strong but the mature look in her eyes told him that she has changed more than he knows. They both have gone through a lot. Kyo felt her eyes sting with tears that she had held in for so long but still refused to let go. But, this is not the time for it, she took a deep breath and asked him about things there.

Yami couldn't help but laugh, some things never change, it was just like her to change the topic in order to hide her state but he let it be knowing that she needed to talk about something important. "When did it start?"

"Almost a year after you disappeared. Since the village no longer had their leader, I had no choice but to step up. Well, I did have a choice but I didn't like them so I make an option for myself and chose myself as the acting leader of this village since you're not here." She explained.

"And those people just accepted it?"

"No, some still don't but they know better than to voice their thoughts in front of me" She smirked at Yami, as she thought back of the times she kicked their butts just to teach them a lesson of not messing with her.

Yami laughed, "That must have been a sight worth seeing." but then he grew serious, "But you need to be careful, those people are like snakes, actually they are worse than snakes. They will betray you when you least expect it. So be careful. I'm trying to find a way to you. Don't worry"

"Do you like it there? I mean, that place, do you like being there?" Kyo asked out of curiosity.

"It is nice here, I like it here but I'd like it better if you were with me" He smiled at her.

"Then don't worry, once the war is won, I'll find my way to you and then we can live there, together" She touched his cheek, giving him a soft smile that always made his heart skip a beat. They sat under the moonlight talking about everything, Yami told her the last thing he remembered before he landed up here and of everything that followed and she did the same. They had a lot to talk about and not much time but as Hikari said, she did give them as much as time she could give them.

Random Fact: Salt and sodium are not the same things. "Salt" is the term commonly used for sodium chloride (NaCl) which is table salt. Sodium chloride is just 40% sodium and 60% chloride. One teaspoon of table salt contains 2,325 mg of sodium.
