I was originally planning on slipping out of the Great Hall and rush to the Common Room directly after dinner with Draco and Blaise and a random older Slytherin who could lead us there but once we reached the door I was pulled aside suddenly. I gasped in pain. James Potter had grabbed my arm so hard that it would definitely leave a bruise and was scowling at me with a glare that could kill. I gulped. This was going to be bad. Very bad.

"We will be going to the headmaster now. No son of mine will end up in Slytherin. Follow me and don't try to run unless you want to spend the next two months in detention with Filch!" He yelled at me, then proceeding to drag me down the hall and up several staircases.

Students from all the different houses were watching us with curious yet concerned expressions on their faces as I tried to keep up, stumbling a lot with pain written across my face.

"Mind your business!" James shouted at them causing everyone to flinch and look away.

The only one that didn't was Professor Snape who came around the corner right then.

"Mr. Potter." He drawled and James stopped glaring at him. "I don't think it is...appropriate to drag your own son through the corridors like that. Not to mention one of my own snakes."

"I would suggest you shut up and keep your long crooked nose out of other people's business, Snivellus." James said in a hateful tone. He looked him up and down, sneered and continued dragging me.

Few minutes later we finally reached a golden gargoyle in the form of a Griffin. It was an entrance so it was a Griffin door. Just like Gryffindor. Prejudiced much.

"Chocolate frogs!" James barked at it impatiently.

I watched it turn to the side, revealing a long circular moving staircase to Dumbledore's office.

James pushed me towards it and finally let go of my arm. Sighing I brought my arm up to my chest and rubbed the already forming bruise.

"Go!" Another hard push caused me to walk up the stairs quickly.

We stopped at a simple wooden door and James sharply knocked once.

"Enter!" Dumbledore called. "Aah there you are James, my boy. You brought dear Harry I suppose?"

"Of course I did, Sir." He nodded pushing me once again towards the desk and then joining Lily and John who were standing next to the headmaster scowling at me.

I was slightly uncomfortable like that so I cautiously started the unavoidable conversation.

"You called for me, Sir?" I asked looking at Dumbledore.

"I did in fact ask dear James here to bring you to my office, my boy. The hat must have made a mistake sorting you in Slytherin. No Potter has ever been in that house and I doubt you will be happy there. I'm sure you also know that this can be a great danger to your twin brother John. He must be kept safe at all cost as he is the only one who can still save the wizarding world so why don't we get you resorted. I'm sure you don't mind." he stopped talking and smiled at me kindly.

I was furious. He said that so confident as if he's right as always and everyone must bow to him. Then with his ever so twinkling blue eyes that just screamed grandfatherly love. It makes me want to jump over his wooden office desk and strangle him until the light left his goddamn eyes.

I couldn't let them know what I felt towards him though so I kept my face void of any emotion.

"Alright Sir. But you must know that I am quite happy with my friends in Slytherin."

"I knew you were smart but we will have to see about these friends later." Grinning triumphantly Dumbledore took the sorting hat and put it on my head.

'Hello again, Hadrian. I suppose you want to stay in Slytherin, where you truly belong?'

'Yes, please Mr. Hat.'

"There is no other house fitting for him except SLYTHERIN!" The hat shouted.

I smirked at their shocked faces and handed the hat back about to leave the office.

But then everything made a whole 180.

They looked at each other.

John stepped forward.

He glared at me.

Smirked at his parents.

Turned back to me.

Smiled way too sweetly for my liking.

"I, John Potter, hereby reject my twin brother Harry Potter."

My mouth hung open. I stared at him incredulously.

Flashback

I was sitting on the stairs outside the dining room listening in to Dumbledores conversation with my parents.

"He must not turn dark whatsoever. If he ends up rejecting John the outcome could be fatal for the whole world. I assume you don't know how it works. Twin's magics balance each other. If one twin rejects the other, the rejected twin would suffer from magic overload and eventually die. This will cause great pain and can only be avoided if twins or three regular children of the same age adopt the twin as their sibling. They would automatically become triplets or quadruplets. I trust you will be able to avoid this scenario."

"Of course, Sir. We would do anything for our little John." Lily responded turning around to said child who was sitting on the floor, stuffing his mouth with chocolate cake which would just add to his already almost obese figure. Impressive for a five year old boy.

Flashback end

I turned as white as a ghost.

James looked at his son proudly.

Lily looked content.

Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, the lightest wizard, leader of the light and Order of the Phoenix was smirking at me with an evil glint in his eyes, the grandfather attitude gone and his true self out.

I'm....I'm going to die...and my own family doesn't give a flying shit
