Apparently I fell asleep in the library after the party ended at about 3am because Lily stormed in at 10am yelling at me. "Boy! I've been calling you for 10 minutes and you still haven't come downstairs! We're leaving to Diagon Alley in half an hour! Get ready and I'll be expecting you at the entrance in 25 minutes."

"Yes, ma'am! Of course, ma'am!" I replied quickly, jumping up, bowing and then running towards my 'room'.

Exactly 25 minutes later I stood next to the grand door leading into the front yard, showered and with slightly damp, wavy hair combed neatly to the left side. I wore black ripped jeans, a dark green dress shirt with black casual robes that had silver linings.

About one minute later Lily and James came, instantly sneering when they saw my clothes. They themselves were wearing jeans, a red t-shirt/blouse and robes with golden features. Typical of them.

"As soon as we arrive what will you do?" James asked, still sneering of course

"I will be buying my school stuff by myself, not once talking to you and pretending I don't know you, Sir."

"Good. At least something you're good at."

The last five minutes were spent in silence waiting for the spoilt brother of mine to arrive. He announced his arrival with his very loud and obnoxious voice, waddling towards us while complaining about not leaving fast enough what didn't even make sense since we were waiting for him but I was used to it by now.

They apparated almost instantly leaving me to floo alone once again. Nothing new to me. Sighing I made my way through the fireplace and decided to go to Madam Malkins first to get my school robes.

I didn't need to go to Gringotts to get the necessary amount of galleons as the goblins introduced me to their card system, similar to the muggle one, the previous year. They rarely do that so I considered myself lucky.

Entering the shop I looked around spotting the Malfoy family and a dark skinned boy probably waiting for their turn. Seeing as the Potters weren't there to accompany me I decided to go and meet some other students before going on the train.

I straightened my back and cleared my face of any emotion then walked over confidently.

"Good morning Lord Malfoy, Lady Malfoy, Heir Malfoy and Heir..." I shook Lord Malfoy's hand, kissed Lady Malfoy's and shook Heir Malfoy's hand then looked at the other boy asking the unsaid question.

"Zabini. Heir Zabini. Nice to meet you. May I know your name?"

"and Heir Zabini." I continued. "My name is Harry Potter, heir to the ancient and noble house of Potter. I was planning on getting to know possible future housemates before going on the train to Hogwarts."

"A Potter." Lord Malfoy said surprised. "A Potter that offers his alliance and possibly friendship to Malfoys and Zabinis. Now that is unusual. May I ask what caused you to not be prejudiced while still living with James, Lily and John Potter, the most prejudiced people in this world?"

"Well you see, Lord Malfoy, ever since John became the boy-who-lived my parents haven't been overly fond of me. I've spent more time of my life in the library or with house elfs than with my own family and I never had the chance to get to know other people as I wasn't allowed to attend any meetings or partys. This was my first opportunity and I took it. I hope you understand my situation, Sir."

"Of course I do, Mr Potter-"

"Please call me Hadrian, Sir. Sorry to interrupt you but Mr Potter is James and I don't want to be anything like him."

"Of course but may I ask why Hadrian and not Harry?"

"I just hate the name Harry and the name Hadrian is just similar."

"Alright then Hadrian. I actually wanted to offer you to accompany us on this school shopping trip as we haven't bought anything yet."

"It would be an honor, Sir."

---Time skip brought to you by the Ben&Jerry's ice cream I was eating when I wrote this chapter the first time before my laptop decided to randomly delete it---

A month later I found myself on platform 9¾ looking at the shining red train with HOGWARTS EXPRESS written on it with big golden letters. A small smile crept on my face. Finally after this last month in isolation I'd be going to Hogwarts.

I tried to drag my trunk and my owl Hedwig I got from Narcissa (it was late birthday gift that she got me when she found out I've never once celebrated my birthday in my life) onto the train but it was really heavy. Just before I was about to give up it suddenly got lighter and was finally lifted out of my grasp. I turned around seeing two identical twins grinning at me.

"Gred"

"and Feorge"

"Weasley."

"Pleasure to meet you."

"Who might you be ickle firsty?"

They spoke taking turns which was kind of irritating but I could cope with that. As long as they're not like Ronald and Ginny Weasley who were John's best friends.

"Harry Potter but I prefer to be called Hadrian. Thanks for helping me."

"No problem! See ya!" The said at the same time returning to wherever they came from.

It took me about five minutes to find the compartment with Draco and Blaise and another ten minutes passed and by then we were talking animatedly about Quidditch.

The whole train ride not a single thought was wasted on John Potter, the boy-who-lived-to-become-an-annoying-weak-arrogant-fat-pig.

(So I said there were gonna be slow updates but you know what..I'm motivated af right now so maybe later but I'm gonna publish this now)
