The Unexpected Love Story

Chapter 9

What just happened?
2 guys just kissed me all in one day. Only one of those kisses I like really liked. The other was awkward. I understand Reagan. But why did Leo kiss me? I only like him only as a friend. Did he like me? This is all to confusing for my brain.

I ran to my bedroom and decided to call Avery.

"Hello?"
"Hey.."
"Oh hey! How was your date?"
"Fantastic! And we kissed."
"Really?!? Wow! What was it like?"
"Like kissing a warm cloud. Ohh, his lips were soft and comforting."
"Well looks like you enjoyed."
"I did! But I got a problem."
"What?"
"So me and Leo made plans earlier today to meet at are secret place. And I had to make my date short to be able to make it on time.... which I was 2 1/2 hours late..... and then when he walked me home he kissed me too."
"No way! Leo kissed you?! Why?! And you ditched your date to stay loyal to him. Wow"
"I have no clue. It was so awkward.he said he couldn't help himself."
"Wow.... wow...."
"I know. But......"
"You did tell him right?"
"Umm...."
"Girl! So you didn't tell him why."
"Basically."
"Lord! The mess y'all always get into."
"I know. Well I'm gonna head off to bed and I'll talk to you tomorrow."
"Ok girl. Don't stress yourself out any more tonight. We'll figure it out tomorrow."
"Ok. Night."
"Night."
Then we hanged up.

I did my night routine and got into bed. But did I listen to Avery..... No. It's all that I could think about till I eventually fell asleep.

Leo POV
Why did I do that? Grace probably hates me! Ugh I'm such an idiot! It's just that I've always wanted to do that. Even when we were little kids.

Now are friendship is probably on the line. I mean the way she literally closed the door in my face. That's a sign she hates me. Right?

But something that keeps nagging at me is why was she that dressed up? I mean if you know Grace she goes all out but she never goes that out unless she's got a date or any- Wait, Grace wouldn't go on a date without telling us. Right?

Grace POV
Morning
I woke up with a drag. How is it only Wednesday?
The only good thing about going to school today is to see that beautiful smile that belongs to him. But what I dread is to be met by Leo. Of what heck of a day this going to turn out to be. What I dread is that Leo will be at the bus stop.

Maybe if I fake being sic-

Ring..... Ring....
...Avery....
"Hello?"
"I know you. Don't even pull the sick card."
Did she literally read my thoughts?
"But...."
"No buts."
"Fine" And I hanged up with that.
She is like a second mom to me sometimes.

I got dressed and did my morning routine and  ran out the door. I made it to the bus stop before the bus rounded the corner.

'I'm getting good at this' I mumbled to myself.

"Morning."
My eyes lit up and I slowly turned around. Ugh here comes the dread.

"Hi..." I said with a weak smile.
