The Unexpected Love Story

Chapter 19

I lifted the lid off and I found....

"Happy Birthday munchkin!"

....My dad.....

....
I burst out into tears and ambushed my dad into a hug. "I missed you so much." I said between sobs.
"I missed you too!" My mom ran and joined the hug.

My dad went on a business trip for like 2-3 years and it's been a while since I've seen him. We were gonna move with him but they had a disagreement and my mom didn't want me to move and have all that new kid crazy mess (which I'm thankful for, even thought it's been tough) and my dad had to go.

After living in that moment we broke apart and I just had to ask-
"How long are you staying for?!"
"That's the thing... My job moved back here.... soo"
"Your staying?!"
"Yes baby."
I jumped back on him in just tears of happiness. God it was great to have him back!

The night went on and we had tons of fun and then it was finally tome for presents. Don't get me wrong I'm not one of those type of people but it did give me some happiness.

I got pretty clothes,  jewelry, more design materials(which I adored!),etc.  When it was all opened I was still wondering about Leo's. Private present?

People started to leave and unfortunately Reagan had to leave which made me put on a pout. He said he had a important thing to do. Oh well.

All left but one. Leo.
So I stalked over to him with some shades I received for my birthday and approached him to get that present he keeps nagging at me tonight.

"You got the info. The package?"
"What? What package?"
I pulled my shades down and looked at him, till we were going on full staring contest mode.

And guess who won. Moi!
Now is where you can enter that victory dance.

"Now I believe I should receive my reward?"
"Ok! Ok, I give up."
He gave me that usual grin of his and handed over a petite cute box. I have a toothy grin and opened the box. In laid a keychain that was a gold heart with black engraving saying "To a special best friend who I love. ~Leo" . It was beautiful. But one thing caught my eye.... well two things.

One it was a beautiful thing, and it had little gems all around. Two the words Love questioned me. Love as a friend right? Yea it has to be.

"Oh! It's beautiful!! Thank you!"
"Your welcome. Now was that worth the wait?" He said.
"...Yes!" I said with a smirk.

"Hey how about we have a sleepover?"
"Sure." He said.
Then my dad came out. That just brings a smile to my face. "Hey dad, Leo's gonna sleepover."
"Okay. Soo is this the new boyfriend? I always saw you two getting together."
Oh my gosh. I mentally and physically facepalmed.
I look over and Leo is just a grinning.
And so I punched his arm and gave him a look.
"No, I have a boyfriend but it's not him. I'll introduce  you to him later."
What does everyone ship us together?
Ugh.
