The bells on her anklet echoed in the sanctuary's empty halls, putting away her weapon, she sauntered down the hall with a spring in her step, she listened to the jester talk to her as she made it closer to him.

"If it's any comfort, I do feel slightly bad about Veezara. Stupid lizard got in my way! But please, tell me that hulking sheepdog has bled to death." She knew she was close, knew that he would be near by, knew that she would have to make a choice.

Let the him go, or kill the fool.

There were ups and downs to both sides of these.

He was a good laugh at most times, he was good company on other times, and maybe he wasn't in the wrong, Astrid was sort of a hard head at times, and could get on any one's nerve.

But he did hurt others in the sanctuary, she had found one of them outside here bleeding out, he hurt Veezara, as he said he had, and he had just gone mad.

Reaching a door that seemed that it would lead to Cicero, before opening, she took a deep breath, then walked through the door.

"And now we come to the end of our play. The grand finale." He started to cough, she could only guess because of wounds. "You caught me! I surrender! Ha ha ha ha." She stared at the jester as she approached him, pulling out her (weapon of choice).

"There's only one cure for your madness, me." It seemed like the only good option, well, only option to her, it was the only way not to get Astrid breathing down her neck and yelling at her for not striking the jester down where he stands.

"Oh, I like that! Very good, very good! Creative!" He took in a deep breath. "But killing me would be a mistake! Oh yes. You would displease our mother, hmm? For she's your mother too, isn't she... Listener?" He grumbled out his last word, still hooked on the fact that it was her, someone new to the whole dark brotherhood scene, and not him, someone who had been in the dark brother hood for years before he even became the care taker for their mother. "But! You could walk away! Let poor Cicero live! Tell the pretender Astrid you did the job! Stabbed, strangled, drowned poor Cicero! One little itty bitty lie!" She considered what he said, it would upset their mother, and frankly being the only one that could hear her didn't want to have that ear full, and it would just be a tiny lie, the only thing that would make this not work is if Cicero showed up out of the blue. He smirked, knowing that she was considering what he was saying. "Do what you will. Cicero has no fight left. In the end, Sithis will judge us both."

She crouched down so that she was on his level, she stared at him, him trying his best not to let out with his normal sadistic laugh as she studded him and thought.

finally she reached down and grabbed his face, forcing him to lift his head off the ground and face her. "I will let you live, but on three conditions."

His eyes glimmered with delight, glad she had went for what he said. "Of course! Anything for the listener!" She smirked, glad that he might go along with what she was going to say, and half because he looked funny when he talked, due to her squishing his face.

"Good... Now, you will never show your face around the Falkreath sanctuary ever again, you will never speak of me sparing you ever, and you will never mention this."

Confusion crossed the jesters face as he quirked his brow. "Mention what listener-" He was cut off as (y/n) kissed him on the lips, and before he could react she pulled away, giving him a smirk, she pulled out a potion of health, placing it on the ground beside him, and walking away, back towards the door she entered through.

~Time skip brought you by ringing bells.... no not wedding bells, bells from a jesters hat!~

It had been awhile since she had seen the jester, she wasn't even sure if he was still alive, but currently she wasn't thinking about that.
