The thieves guild was striving with (y/n) as the guild master, with Mercer now dead, what was stolen from the guild was starting to be made back up slowly. And on top of it all (y/n) was able to keep her head together and able to keep everything in the guild running smoothly.

Unlike Brynjolf, with the thieves guild new population and new roll of things, Brynjolf viewed it that he needed to work more and harder, he started to put more then necessary on his plate, he trained new recruits, went on more missions to make up what Mercer stole, that along with things for the guild that he already had to do before all this happened.

He didn't realize that he was distancing himself from (y/n), he didn't try to distance himself from her, he never wanted that, it was the last thing that he wanted to happen, but yet he was the one that accidentally did it anyway.

(y/n) had noticed that Brynjolf was pushing himself to far, she knew what he was doing and she tried to get him to relax and not push himself, she was never able to say it to him due to him being to busy. She tried to subtly get him to stop by trying to help, but even then when he would find himself with free time on his hands, he would start to work on other things, only making him more busy. So she simply gave up, and started to distance herself as well, in order to make sure that she wouldn't get hurt if Brynjolf just started to completely ignore her.

It had been about five months since (y/n) became the guild master and the guild's new population had started to tone down and calm, the thieves guild had started to be feared again, and every one in the thieves guild knew that the guild wasn't going to start to retreat to the shadows for years. Brynjolf had started to relax for the first time, and he had his first bottle of ale while sitting down and relaxing since the guild boom had happened, when ever he was drinking a bottle of ale he would chug it while working with some recruits, so being able to sit down was nice.

And it was about to be ruined. "Hey Bryn~" one of the new recruits walked up and sat down next to him.

"Oh, hey Oaklynn, what are you needing?"

"Oh nothin' I just wanted to sit with you." The Wood Elf turned her attention to Vekel. "Hey, can I have a tankard of what hes got."

"Mhmm" Vekel turned to grab a tankered and opened a bottle of ale and poured it, setting it on the counter in front of her. She grabbed it and took a drink, while she did that, Brynjolf turned his head towards Delvin, whom sat at his usual table.

Delvin winked at Brynjolf and chuckled to himself as Brynjolf mouthed the words 'Help me'

"So Bryn~" Brynjolf turned his attention back tothe woman next to him. "Me and you should go steal together some time." She smiled to him charmingly.

Or most people would find it charming, but Brynjolf found it rather annoying.

"Ah uh, sorry lass, I don't... I don't steal with other people unless it is apsolutly  nessicary. When you work with people whiel stealing out and about, there is more of a chance to get caught, so if I can avoid being caught I take it."

"Ah... I see... Well then, you and I should start to hangout outside the guild, maybe tomorrow we should go out to the bee and barb, share a drink maybe."

"Ah, you see I would love to go do that-"

"But I am needing Brynjolf here, I have a few things that I am needing him to do." Said (y/n) coming up to the bar.

Oaklynn rolled her eyes. "Can't you just have Delvin do it? I'm sure someone else would be able to do what you are having Bryn do." (y/n) quirked her eyebrow at Oaklynn's comment.

"And I'm sure you can try to flirt with someone else who is actually intrested in you, because it is blantantly obvious that Brynjolf, or 'Bryn' isn't intrested." Behind (y/n) all you could hear is Delvin breaking into a huge laughing fit. "Now if you will excuse us, I am need to talk to Brynjolf." Oaklynn mouth was agap and Vekel stood there holding in his smirk, while (y/n) lead Brynjolf away.
