Once Kai left the room, you were left to yourself only to think how Just as with whiteness there is light, and blackness is a canvass for dreams; if there is a soul present, there is always something. And so as the quietness grows deeper and you heard was that of your own steady rhythm from within, you call this silence.

But at some point the silence would be broken. The door opened and you turned your body away from the person who opened your door.

That same person had the decency to close the door and walked up towards your bed. As you remained alert, you couldn't help but be curious on who the person was. It was when you felt little hands trying to crawl over you that you knew who it was, Eri.

"I am sorry, (Y/n)," Eri mumbled.

"I am sorry Eri," you thought, "You should be growing up to have a good future and bright future, not be dragged into this depth of hell that Kai wants to call his road to salvation."

"H-he wouldn't have f-found you i-if-it wasn't for m-m-me," Eri mumbled as tears fell from her eyes. Once that first tear broke free, the rest followed in an unbroken  stream, "I'm sorry!"

You shifted your arm so that it wrapped around her. You pulled her in close so that it would comfort her. Ever since that terrible woman who called herself her mother gave her away to Pops, Pops thought it would be best to give her to Chisaki and since then she had been torched endlessly by Chisaki. When Pops introduced her to you, You could see the same fear you had when you were young and you made sure that she would be able to look up to you.

Kai saw the bond forming and broke it. He made it impossible for Eri and yourself to meet and put Eri through gruesome torture and pain.

"You shouldn't be Eri," you told her as you tilted her head upwards, "It was have be inevitable for me to run away from him forever...I promised that I would try to find a way to get you away from him."

Soon her ruby red eyes were looking into my own and you didn't even need your quirk to know everything that had happened, granted the bindings on you cut you off from your quirk.

The cutting, the needles, the countless extractions that Kai put this girl through was disgusting and he needed to be stop. Before you left, it was minor but now it was excessive. She was only a kid.

"Y-Yeah," Eri said as she clutched tightly against my shirt which sucked me out of seeing her past, "But you got caught against because of me."

It was painful to see her like this. All you could do was embrace her and let the torrent of her tears to soak through your shirt. You could feel her clench her fists, not knowing whether to be mad or to give up hope all together. You could hear her silently screaming, suffocating with each breath she took holding onto her pride. You ran my fingers through her hair, time and time again, in an attempt to calm the silent war within her mind.

"Then it gives me another chance to try and escape with you," you replied, "For now, you need to rest and forget about him."

"(Y/N)..." Eri muttered as she closed her eyes and her last lines became disjointed and inconsistent to understand but at last she was sleeping peacefully. Probably the sleep she never received because of Kai's experiments.

"He won't hurt you as much anymore, Eri," you thought, "I will try everything in my power to prevent him from getting to you.
