The quartet and Gene sat in the Remedial Goodness 101 classroom. They were at least half the classroom away from the front and there was a valid reason for that. The Fairy Godmother was at the front. You know that perfect goody two shoes. Yeah, too much goodness in one person for the children of villains. Well, for four of them, the fifth just wanting to stay close. Jay and Carlos sat next to each other and so did Mal and Evie whilst Gene sat on her own behind the girl's desk.

"If someone hands you a crying baby, do you, A, curse it? B, lock it in a tower? C, give it a bottle? Or D, carve out its heart?" The Fairy Godmother asked. Gene subconsciously shuddered at the second option, her mother coming to mind. She ignore Carlos' worried look that he sent her and kept her eyes on the board. Nobody raised their hands. Either no one knew or they just didn't want to say. After a second or so, the blue haired girl raised her hand, "Evie," The girl looked at the woman before asking sheepishly, "What was the second one?" Gene watched the smile on their teacher's face falter before she looked round the room. "Oh, okay. Anyone else? Gene?" She gestured to the girl, who had already forgotten most of the options. "Um," she said almost inaudibly. She stared at the squiggles on the board, they just looked like a bunch of lines put together in a random order. The girl's cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she mumbled something.

"Mal?" The woman almost sounded desperate as she just moved on, Gene feeling relieved. Mal looked up and read the question since she had been distracted by her drawing (or in Gene's opinion masterpiece). "C, give it a bottle," Gene's eyebrows shot up in surprise when the Fairy Godmother said, "Correct. Again," How was Mal, no doubt the most evil out of all of them, able to choose all the right answers? "You are on fire, girl!" Carlos complimented and Gene couldn't help but agree, the girl had gotten every single one right.  Mal looked at everyone as if it were obvious, "Just pick the one that doesn't sound like any fun," nods of understanding came from the others as Carlos said "Oh," and Evie smiled slightly, mumbling to herself as she looked over to Mal, "That makes so much sense," but it didn't for Gene. So far, for the answers she's heard, there wasn't any fun options. And if she forgot the options, she couldn't try and read them. Mal let out a sarcastic "Oh," as she continued to shade.

"Oh. Hello, dear one," this made Gene's eyebrows furrow together in confusion until she heard a girl squeal as she walked past and Gene hated it. How someone was scared of her even though she'd never did anything and never met her. How her mother's reputation was already ruining her new life. "Hi. You need to sign off on early dismissal for the coronation," the girl whispered only for the woman to shout, "Everyone here remembers my daughter, Jane?" Jane's eyes went wide in panic and fear, "Mom, no!" The Fairy Godmother, however, waved off that terror with a simple, "It's okay. Jane, this is everyone," The girl awkwardly turned to them, smiling uneasily before she spoke, "Hi. That's okay, don't mind me. As you were," Gene sent her a smile she hoped looked friendly to which the girl nodded back, still seeming hesitant. Once more Jnae squealed as she passed and Gene couldn't help but feel like a villain. A feeling she loathed more than the colour pink or running. Mal, however, seemed to not mind. In fact, she also seemed to have her plotting face on, Gene feeling dread fill up her stomach at the thought of why they were actually there.
