YOU CAN STILL FEEL THE HEAT ON HIS ARMS where fire had been only a moment before.

he holds you tight, desperately. the smoke in the air settles but the danger is still there-- you and warren hidden behind one of the corners of the hallway. he had saved you. he had come back for you after you had been caught, despite you telling him to stay with the others. he didn't listen and honestly, you're glad he didn't.
❝WARREN,❞ you smile, hands still gripped tightly onto his arms.
he looks at you when you say his name, feeling warm in his stomach-- as opposed to usual. he smiles softly, barely upturning his lips. he's gorgeous and you're on a high from being saved by him. you lean forward, lips pressing onto his. he stops breathing for a moment and doesn't get the chance to kiss you back before you pull away.
❝THANKS FOR SAVING ME.❞
now he really does smile.
