old oak tree

For a moment, just a moment, everything was warm. Nothing hurt. I wasn't crying. The sky was bright and clear. I was in a field full of beautiful yellow flowers. I was happy. No one was there with me. It was just me. There was no yelling. No sadness. I look around to see what was with me. There's a large oak tree a little bit farther from where I was. I slowly begin to walk over to it. It feels like i'm floating. Like all the weight has been lifted off my shoulders. When I get closer to the tree, I see the silhouette of a man. Once I get close enough to see him, I recognize his immediately. "Dad?" I ask the man. "Yes. It's me baby." My father responds. I run up to him as fast as I can, and give him a big warm hug. Tears stream down my face as I embrace him. "Daddy where am I? How am I with you?" I ask him. "You need to go back." He says. "What do you mean? I don't wanna go back I wanna stay here with you." I tell him. "You need to go back baby. He needs you. They all need you." My father says to me. "What do you mean? Who needs me dad?" I ask the man. He doesn't say anything. Tears fill his eyes as he raises his hand. "I'll see you again, baby. Some day." He says as he snaps his fingers.

Then as fast as I got there, I was gone. Everything was black. I sit up screaming. "NO PLEASE DONT I WANT TO STA-" "Hey hey baby stop yelling it's okay now you're safe." Desiree says to me. "Desiree? Where am I? What happened?" I ask her. "Well I was hoping you could tell us that." Miss. Elsa says. Then, everything that happened before comes back to me. The clown. "The clown." "What clown?" She asks. "I- I don't know. I woke up in a trailer, and he was there, but he wouldn't talk. He left the trailer so I escaped, but he found me. I remember running back here, and that's the last thing I remember." I tell them. Suddenly, Jimmy runs in. "Y/n! You're awake!" He says excitedly while running towards me. We embrace each other in a hug, and don't let go of each other until Miss Elsa says, "Okay you two. We're going to leave you alone now. Feel better soon Y/n."

"Y/n who did this to you?" Jimmy asks as he pulls away from the hug. "I don't know. He was in a clown suit and he had a mask covering his mouth." I tell him. "I'm gonna kill whoever he is. Thank god you're okay." Jimmy says. "I know Jimmy." "Look I wanted to talk to you about what I did. I was such an idiot. I love you so much Y/n, and I can't even bring myself to think about what I would do without you. I was sad and angry and I made a stupid mistake. I don't even like Madison. She's annoying and rude. I just acted out and I'm sorry." He says. I believe him. There was a certain look in his eyes when he told me that. Regret. Out faces are slowly becoming inches away from each other, and he leans in to kiss me. The kiss is short but passionate. That kiss wasn't like any of the ones before it. I saw our whole future together with just that short kiss. It was beautiful. "I forgive you Jimmy." "I love you Y/n." "I love you more Jimmy." "I love you most." "I love you infinity."

Infinity. What a strong word. I haven't said that to anyone before besides my father. Him and I used to say I love you infinity to each other before I went to sleep. I never thought in a million years that I would love someone again. Seeing my father today proved me wrong. Of course I loved my dad, but it's time for me to move on. So I did. When I kissed Jimmy, it wasn't like any other kiss we've had. I saw our whole future with that one little kiss. A baby girl and her two older brothers. We'll live somewhere safe, in California. We'll have a cute house on the beach. It doesn't have to be big or fancy. Just a place that we can call home. I can picture all of us in the livinroom together watching the television, and eating homemade cookies. It's wonderful. I just hope that dream comes true. I love you Jimmy Darling.
