minho was staring at his ceiling, trying to steady his breathing. his mind was racing, old memories he had tried to erase reappearing after so long.

the dancer flinches at the memories of him getting smacked and yelled at, causing his body to curl into a little ball. his sobs were racking out and he could barely breathe, but it was better than remembering.

the door of minho's room creaks open, snapping minho out of his daze. he looks over and sees a familiar freckled face and relief floods over him.

"can i come in minho?" felix asks. the australian was no fool to minho's panic attacks. he knew how to calm hid best friend down; he knew that minho needed space and control or his panic attack would get worse.

minho nods timidly but felix doesn't move. "i need words lino."

"yes." minho stutters out, his voice weak and grainy. felix smiles reassuringly and walks into the room. he had grabbed doongie on his way in and shoes minho the cat. "do you want her." minho nods, but quickly remembers what felix had told him and mutters a small 'yes.' felix the sets the cat on the bed, but stays a reasonable distance from minho.

"you can come closer lixie."

felix sits down next to minho and opens his arms. the elder instantly dives into his hold and his tears start to soak into felix's shirt.

"i'm scared lix." minho manages to mutter into felix's shoulder. "what if he hurts me?"

felix strokes the elders hair soothingly and places a few kisses on his head. "you trust him, right min?"

minho nods weakly and sighs. "i just.. i don't want to trust him completely then get thrown to the curve again."

"he is nothing like your ex, min. he cares about you right? he offered to help you with hangover! changbin's never done that for me and he's whipped!" felix giggles which keads to minho laughing too.

"theres the laugh that i love," felix pipes and lets minho lay on his lap.

"you're the best friend i could ever ask for, lix."

"i love you too."
