Happy first day of spring everyone (though a bit late)! The weather here isn't exactly spring-like, wind's howling for the last three days and today's... snowing? I don't know, I'm as confused as the weather fairy that arranged this.
So, I've done a little folder cleaning and reorganising and I've dug up some stuff! Here they go!
One of my friends asked me to do a wallpaper for her desktop, and since then I've been dabbing in the area quite a bit. Haven't done any major manipulations, but I have done some simple stuff. The big canvas still scares me and I haven't dared to go full on with complex manipulations. And I have yet to figure out how to get the end result to look crispy clean (like the downloaded wallpaper of Olgierd Von Everec; it's gorgeous *-*).
So, below my first attempts at wallpapers! If there's anyone in need of a wallpaper, I'd be more than happy to hand these out to you.
This one was the very first wallpaper I've ever made. I tried to replicate that light, teen fiction-y style (since my friend really likes that kind of stuff) and stick to a pallete that was not strictly one color (I noticed I do that a lot). If anyone's interested, I have made two other versions with slight changes in tone (one leans towards olive green with pinkish roses, the other one is your standard green with red roses).
My folders are brimming with animal stock photos, so I decided to use some to make wallpapers. The texture on this one is slightly of, I think I applied to much filter on it. But I'm pretty happy with the colors.
This one is recent-ish. I've been scrolling through Unsplash and I found this stock, and I just thought it would look very cool as a wallpaper. What doesn't sit right with me is the quality, it just isn't as crisp as I'd like it. Considering that the stock itself is a very good quality one, it's a bit of an issue. Does anyone know a secret to getting a smooth, good quality picture?
Some editing I did for fun. If anyone's interested in this as an icon, hit me up so I can send you the link.
That would be all for this little graphic dump. Toodles!
